tip o’ the cap [Eric Upchurch]

These are a few of our sponsors who have supported us so long, and to such a degree, that we now consider them part of the operation. They are companies whose missions align with ours, whose business practices match our commitment to ethics, transparency, and service to both clients and the public. You can usually find them on our message board with accounts way older than their sponsorship programs. Moreover they are good people—by and large huge Michigan fans whom we would want to interact with even if they weren’t giving us money.

Having a fanbase like Michigan’s that prefers to engage with borderline pedantic sports content is the reason this blog can exist. But the reason we can do this for a living instead of on the side of “real” jobs is because we have sponsors who also fit our particular brand and methods who want to be associated with us, and vice versa.

None of these sponsors paid to make this list, nor do we offer the option to do so. Once I’ve written them up, you can click on each link to learn more about them from us; for now these link to their own sites.

While we are talking about Residence Inn Ann Arbor, could someone explain the running joke from the podcast about the varying number of conference rooms? I love inside jokes and I’d love to be included in one someday

Rutgers doesn’t belong in the B1G, so there are only 13 conference rooms. Until a team lost to Rutgers, then they no longer belonged, so there are only 12 conference rooms. Then Illinois is Illinois in all sports now, so they only need 11 conference rooms. State went 3-9, so they killed their conference room that year....down to 10. And so it goes....

I’ll tip my cap to the sponsors who are willing to give me free beer!! I’ve met both Matt Demorest and Nick Hopwood while drinking fine Michigan beers that they’ve provided at Jolly Pumpkin, Wolverine State Brewery the north end zone site or the space by Elbel.

If we’re 9-1 going in to the last home game against Indiana we ought to be having another MGoTailgate event....hint, hint!

Is this article in response to a certain batshit crazy Ann Arbor resident telling all of Mgoblog's sponsors that Brian approves of domestic violence because he disagreed with her on some local political issues?

I am a life member of the Alumni Association, so glad they are on the list.

Thanks to all the sponsors and Seth and Ace and David and Brian.

And all (well, most) of the content/diary writers.

When I discovered MGoBlog, I asked a friend, if he ever read it.

"Only check it about 40 times a day."

Usually, when I ask him what he thinks about a UM athletic dept. issue, he says

"I have to wait to see what Brian says.  We usually agree."

So the Blog is a great service to the community, in many ways, glad to be a part of it.
