U-M Hockey vs to Hell with Notre Dame Frozen Four Open Thread
Frozen Four in Mel's first year as U-M head coach - amaizing!
Looking forward to some Hughes magic, hopefully finding the back of the net. Would love to see Dancs power drive the net and finish.
Time: 9:30PM (or so) ET
Watch: ESPN2
Listen: MGoBlue audio
Duluth scores 2 early goals, holds on to win 2-1.
Let's Go Blue! To Hell with Notre Dame! Win the Game!
And stay out of the damn box!
To hell with the figthings!
Well, 2008 would be the Notre Dame post-season rematch
DOWN GOES OHIO STATE!
Would love to get a rematch with UM-Duluth!
GO BLUE BEAT NOTRE DAME!
Let's win the national championship
i like this plan. let's go with that.
But first things first. To hell with Notre Dame.
Would be sweet to sweep ND in hockey + football next year.
Did anyone else see the article that mentioned we have a 68% chance of losing in south bend to start the season?

I still haven't recovered from Monday's lack of sleep yet...
Do they even want anyone to watch?
What time did Ohio State/Duluth end? Does it take almost two hours to run a zamboni and warm up?
And California ruins almost every start time for major sporting events (Super Bowl is the exception). Learn to DVR out there, yo. We'll be sure out here in the East to not tell you if Dewey beat Truman - deal?
The Sweet Sixteen and Elite 8 at Staples would beg to differ/be an exception.
I've seen so many great Michigan teams have a terrific season and fail to make the frozen four. Then Mel rolls into town, nothing much happens at first, we really improve at the end, and suddenly we're in the frozen four. It just doesn't feel like a 'real' frozen four
Both hockey and basketball have some "greater than the sum of their parts" thing going on this year AND I LOVE IT!
Let's face it, we found money this year. And then we kept finding it.
No matter what happens, we already have a lot more than we expected to have.
LET'S GO BLUE!
Time to go get it. These guys are fun to watch, and would be great to see them earn a title in a year where things are so wide open.
BEAT THE IRISH!
LET'S GO BLUE!
Great now I'm sobbing b/c this E60 documentary on Travis Roy is amazing.
:'(
and we go with the Meijer-looking yellow shoulders. Blegh
Right after I was mocking OSU for having horrible jerseys too...
9:45 drop. Ugh.
Another Midnight Special for the EST folks.
Hockey stats are stupid. Points = goals + assists, so it's redudant to list all three.
Corsi is (even strength) shot differential, so it's redundant to list all three.
I hate inefficiency. Gosh!
Okay, GO BLUEEEEE!!!!
Our unis look good.
But, that maize shoulder yoke is awful. It looks cheap. Michigan should just go with straight Navy with yellow stripes. The classic arched Michigan with the number underneath looks good, but the yellow shoulders are awful and the TV numbers are too high.
I agree with you, but most of all:
I'll say it again:
MORE USE OF THE 1996 THROWBACKS.
PLEASE.
I just don't understand why we've only used those things twice (I think) since they've been introduced? They are beautiful.
Script Michigan is an all-time great look.
I am happy the home whites are very classic Block M with simple striping.
Also, I do appreciate that four of the Big Ten hockey teams wear replicas of their football helmets for hockey purposes.
At least all the maize matches. That's huge progress.
They had gotten me flummoxed to the point where I thought it was technically impossible to match yellow on different surfaces and I should stop expecting it.
Lines for tonight! 10 minutes to puck drop in St. Paul. #GoBlue // #FrozenFour pic.twitter.com/5HPPNlFtPn
