ESPN Update on Patterson Appeal

Submitted by DrMantisToboggan on

This article suggests that Michigan was allowed to submit supplementary material after Ole Miss filed their response which contested the eligibility of the six transfers. That's very good for Michigan. Mars seems to think that NCAA is acting efficiently and will have a decision soon.

He just heaped praise on the NCAA case manager. They allowed him the opportunity to submit additional materials (materials that the team decided against submitting to begin with, because they were "sure" that miss wouldn't play hard ball- and I assume they were going for classy or somesuch).

It's a pretty common tactic. If you think things are going your way or may likely go your way, you visibly praise the regulator, but not to their face, that's not classy.

No, no you misunderstood, the NCAA is not efficiently processing this matter, they are only “acting” efficiently. Somebody took the paperwork and then ran down the hall through a couple sets of doors and then flung all of the papers into a giant warehouse with countless other documents strewn about.

I'd renew season tickets. The program will  eventually turn around.

While waiting, you can hand pick the games you want and sell the rest.

Once you give up your seats, you'll be on the outside looking in.

There is a long waiting list. Look at the big picture. I have a foolish

friend that did not.

I was nervous after the initial report because of the news that Michigan didn't bring out all of its guns. After the rebuttal , getting a chance to send in more documentation seems like a win for Michigan.

What we have here is a bunch of rendecks trying to find reverse on a Soviet tank. This is not a worthy adversary.

I got an Uber over the weekend, and the driver was actually Mark Emmert. He told me he was Ubering as a side gig. I asked him about this and he said that the NCAA hates Harbaugh, and no way would they allow for Michigan to win the appeal. I should clarify that I was drunk, tripping balls, and the pink alligator next to me wouldn't shut up, so maybe I misheard him.
