Who had fun?!?! POSBANG

Submitted by StrictlyShorts on
This was an awesome run, by an awesome team. And the more they won the more fun that we had. I had an absolute blast taking my kids to my brothers house and watching the games while they ran free and jumped around with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind when Michigan made shots and runs and stops on defense. Not winning tonight sucks. But they were better.. however, the joy of the last 2 months of memories of my family embracing this team was unforgettable in the best way. Go blue

Question, would you have had fun if Michigan lost the National Championship in Football to say Bama by a score of 37-17?

Would we be posbanging? It's honestly a question.

My daughter and I gathered with hundreds. We sang and chanted. There was cowbell. And former players. Elbow to elbow for over 2 hours. To enjoy 5 min of cheering the team, coaches, managers, cheerleaders and band as they boarded the busses to the game. Then we walked en mass to the Alamodome. It’s Great To Be A Michigan Wolverine. Forever Go Blue!

Bummed we couldn't beat the best team in the country, but only reason we lost is their version of Spike Albrecht hung 31 while hitting 3s Steph Curry would question the wisdom of.  Sometimes you just gotta shake their hand and say good game.  They played a strong defensive game again tonight and totally took the best player in basketball out of the game.  Hell of a season, hell of a team, super proud of everyone and can't wait for next year.  Go Blue!

I was sad to see it end without a championship last night, but today I'm happy after realizing how much this team did this year. BTT championship, Final Four, runner up, 2-0 against MSU...I remember coming into this year thinking we would struggle without Walton, Irvin and Wilson. We replaced three starters and got better this year! Crazy to think.

I mean come on, that shot by Poole!!

The A&M game!!

Just the mounting excitement of each successive win...

These are the kinds of things we get to enjoy now. When Beilein arrived, Michigan hadn't been in the tournament in 9 years. UM hoops was a smoking crater. MSU destroying us 2x/year. EMU had better basketball facilities than us!! Beilein & Co. put us back on the map.

Being irrelevant was a lot less stressful, but nowhere near as much fun

That was exactly my feeling, once I got over the sadness of losing.  This season has just been FUN.  The team so far exceeded expectations, and the revelations of ESPN make me even happier that we have John Beilien as our coach.  Now, I'd like to be this happy during football season!
