Apparently William Stampel was a co conspirator of Nassar
For the girl to be afraid to say something about him grabbing her ass because she didn't want to get kicked out of school, that shows how shady law enforcement and administrators handle sexual assualt allegations against people in power or people making money for the university.
Why would reporting inappropriate behavior by the man representing and overseeing the student body result in her losing something she's worked for and earned?
Seriously it hasn't been said enough as far as I'm concerned:
Fuck Sparty
That GIF is peak toxicity.

The polonium levels to be used on Nasser and Stample. Nothing so high as to cause quick death.

I got mine deleted because I called out Harbaugh too much after the MSU game...you know before it was acceptable around here.

I like to think of it as a diplomatic expulsion for activities detrimental to national security.

I think these new Stampel revelations make MSU worse than PSU regarding institutional scandal and abuse of power, sexual abuse, etc
Horrible things to compare, but her there are clearly two active participants in the sexual abuse, whereas at PSU it seems there was Sandusky and a bunch of people looking the other way.
Both horrible, both inexcusable, but MSU might have just pulled off the impossible - being more morally bankrupt than both PSU and Baylor.
March 27th, 2018 at 10:36 PM ^
....when we are talking about these levels of depravity and moral bankruptcy, it is not easy to compare and contrast, but if you go by the sheer number of innocent young victims, I guess staee is worse.
The thing that rankles me about ped state is the legion of fans who still refuse to believe that jokepa was anything but a saint.
BTW, FUCK penn state and all their delusional joepa loving fans!!!

minimized because although US law has been changed to properly identify what Nasser did as rape, the press and public still don't often tend to identify it as such. In that sense--not just technically, but in reality--the PSU case doesn't come close in scale. That's not to minimize what happened at PSU. . .

either 'put out' in terms of sex, or send him shameful pictures, or there goes your $300K investment in med school....if those turn out to be the actual facts, i'm thinking this case is undercharged.
after reading about this tonight she said--and I agreed--that if there were ever a story that made you just want to exact revenge, this might be it.
How could any female student want to go to this university. . .

However, I'm hoping for a response to this question. Does anyone else get the feeling that the AG had reason to believe evidence is being destroyed?
Why else would they use a "time sensitive" tip to get a search warrant to confiscate a computer MSU was already supposed to hand over?
Wondering if anyone has found other insight into to this... Any large piles of laptops being burned outside the admin offices?

A statement from the AG that some files appeared to have been deleted. Computer forensics should also be able to determine when the files were deleted. If they were deleted after he took his "medical" leave, it's evidence of obstucrution by someone other than douche bag himself...
I can't imagine MSU being dumb enough to think that deleting a file will make it go away for good, but who knows at this point.
People have lost their minds and are guzzling the kool aid. RCMB has gone full on cult mode.
A giant, steaming, shit show is the only way to describe this mess.

A file takes up a number of blocks of memory. When it gets deleted, the info is still there, but the blocks are considered available to be written to. When new files get written, free blocks get used again, and the information that is there gets written over in part or in full, depending on how much space the new file needs of a particular block.
So imagine the new file is a few bytes over a multiple of block size. Those bytes get written to a new block, which the system sees as belonging to that new file. But most of the old data still exists, and can be retrieved forensically.
for MSU to sell half their campus to Amazon? It would certainly be a buyer's market!
they mentioned that it appeared someone had tried to delete the pics and video found on Strampel's work computer.
It's pretty sad when you see Engler and other administrators still trying to protect the university. That time has passed, it's now time to be completely transparent and the university as a whole can't even do that. They're still trying to circle the wagons but the cavalry ain't coming. Stop already!!!
From Engler on down to the alumni and fans. Stop trying to protect your shit. It's over. It's now just a matter of how deep does the rabbit hole go. Stop trying to compartmentalize it to just the school of Osteopathic Medicine and gymanstics. There is a culture of violence towards women on that campus that needs to be rooted out and if Izzo/Dantonio or anyone else has contributed to that culture they need to be jettisoned.

Msu fans when people who don't affect revenue sports cover up rape: Act outraged, wear teal, demand change
Msu fans when their notoriously lawless football and bball programs rape and cover up rape: come up with conspiracy theories, blame the media, claim victims are liars
I think what you are suggesting has been their strategy all along.

See my post below... Maybe the AG has something up his sleeve? I'm wondering if there is more to this "time sensitive tip" than meets the eye.
It might not take a "legal eagle" to answer this question, although I'm all ears. I'm starting to think the AG is taking this seriously and the BOT is in panic mode. That would explain the seemingly inexplicable tone-deaf approach they have taken.
together for their 'side' of the story. and that is all that occurred with that law firm's bogus 'investigation'. obstruction is generally resisting or delaying compliance with a lawful order from law enforcement. those two ideas don't contradict one another in this context.
federally things are a bit more tricky in terms of what is happening with evidence - as alluded to upthread, people who are actively destroying evidence, particularly digital evidence, could be in trouble if/when it is reconstituted forensically. however, as of yet the feds aren't involved in this investigation and it wouldn't surprise me that they never do get engaged.
bottom line though: even the finding of another leech in the red cedar river isn't going to do nearly as much in the grand scheme of things as most non-msu folks would want. news cycle moves on. china/n. korea/trump/2018 election cycle/stock market will swallow this all up in due time.
That is a great point and it does seem to indicate that MSU's investigation was a sham. We also know that MSU officials lied to the federal government.

to claim that this not an institutional problem.
They can try to say, "Look over here don't look over there" except that only works up to a point. Here, IS there.
Look at Strampel. Look at Hollis and Klages, and anyone else who fled.
But don't tell me that Dantonio and Izzo are choir boys because they might have beaten Michigan in a sports event.
please don't include MSU coaches in the same sentence as us fine volunteer choristers.
Realize that even the best of tenors have foibles too... I have sometimes used the Lords name in vain and even had a parking ticket last week.
