Franz Wagner (brother of Moe) 2019 prospect?
More Mama Wagner!!!!
A beateful lady.
I'd blitzkrieg her.
Stop it. That’s disrespectful.
I want a hug. A big, Bavarian hug.
Too bad Franz isn't a year younger. Maybe the allure of playing with his brother would've kept Moe in AA for his senior year.
MO' WAGNER
How about Hanz?
didn't he fall from Nakatomi Plaza to his death?
I love the 80's...
wearing number 13 also
Seems to have a similar game. Mini Moe!
who would be a no-brainer for our School of Music.
Has been having health issues preventing him from using his talent
also he has his good moments and his bad quarters
Wagner sure knows how to play to the crowd.
Worse case of leprosy I've ever seen
It would be worth it solely for the fans of big ten teams groaning about another one.
He was born in August 2001. If he were to be a 2020 prospect we might have room. For '19 I don't think we would.
I think kids go to school 1 yr longer in Germany. I believe Mo is a year older than the rest of his class.
He's younger, not older, right? Moe is only 20.
Has he expressed any interest in UM? We demand four more years of Wagner!
have I got a ring cycle for you
There was a post about him on the front page about a month ago. Definitely a solid prospect for either 19 or 20 class. Will be interesting to see if he becomes as tall as his brother or will level out more as a 3 or 4 type. Mo is better suited as a PF so maybe his brother could be the same.
Yeah, he may need to keep growing for us to take serious interest. If he tops out at 6'7" we may not have a need.
You never pass up on a Wagner....Never!!!
pump up the offense!
but close enough
Oh. G’day then. How’s about another shrimp on the Barbie?
Austria...Australia--yeah, close enough. They're basically the same country right?
I thought they were from France...
Coneheads. Got any pest strips? They're hungry.
one scholarship open for 2019 (as of now)? Definitely need a shooting guard.
zero scholarship open at the moment. If Charles Matthews continue to progress, I would expect him to be gone which would open one spot.
Does he have another brother named Hans?
Euro-basketball, and basketball abroad, must get huge sponsors, because that ticket sale revenue is straight nonexistent.
I don't think that's their senior team in those clips. Top-level European teams can draw packed crowds.
much quicker and more agile than mo. as a 17 yr old he's canning left handed (short) hooks.
It looks like he has better ball handling, but he may be caught a little bit in no man's land. Remember, Mo also played on the wing a lot in Germany and got away with it, not so much here. Athletically, I think they are similar, but at only 6'7" and not built like a bull, that leaves him more as a classic stretch 4, whereas at Michigan the 4 is essentially a wing. Not sure he's the best fit at that spot in Michigan's system, whereas in some other systems he may be better suited.
His jump shot is right handed but he seems to prefer the left hand on layups. One of the layups should have been righty and he avoided it for his left. I’ve never seen that.
We already have two recruits in 18 with a similar skill set and physical profile. John’s and Iggy are better. Plus Livers already playing. And Nunez will probably start as a wing as well. If he was in the 2020 class, I’d be all for it. But unless he grows a few inches and could project as a 5, I’m not sure I see the fit right now.
Damn the budget. YOU BRING ME ANOTHER WAGNER.
...given the role Duncan Robinson plays for us.
Michigan has a team philosophy of the Next Wagner Up?
Just put him on scholarship as a WRE or TE who just also happens to play BB.
required some real intuition /s
Good looking prospect. Pretty good handles for 6'7.
I like his shooting stroke. It's quick and smooth, with no hitch. It also appears that their 3 pt. line is a bit deeper than the college line he would see at the collegiate level in the US.
He seems to drive with both hands. He doesn't appear to be especially explosive athletically. He does remind one of Duncan Robinson but maybe drives a little more agressively. Remember when we learned how explosively Stauskus could drive to the rim? Most saw him as a spot up shooter, but got stronger and more explosive with the strength program at UM.
I noticed his birthdate at August 2001. He doesn't even turn 17 until August. He would be a rising sophpmore in the U.S. I haven't seen a huge number of 6'7" sophomores playing at this level in H.S. lately. Just sayin...
I would say that he is worth monitoring for 2 things: physical development, and skill development. He could arrive in 2.5 years as a frosh and understudy for a year or even 2 years. I would guess Coach B will keep a close eye on him as he develops. He just has the look of kids that Coach B recruits.
Always room for another Wagner.
