I am really looking forward to the Michigan game tonight. Go Blue!
I’m so freakin excited
Only 1 guaranteed blue blood in the final four. Parity.
Is the tip-off approximate because they’ll wait for one game to end before starting the next? I’m used to that when they’re in the same arena, but this surprised me—guess it makes sense now that we’re down to just 2 games per day.
Can this serve for this purpose?
Well Loyola looks locked in. Good timeout for Webber and co to regroup and gather themselves.
Thought the team timeout would serve as media timeout also. Foolish me.
Yes I think Loyola is a better story, and making final 4 would be great. However, with where we are at now and UM a possible opponent next I switch to best for UM. I personally think it’s KSU.
We will find out tonight, but teams like A&M, FSU, KSU seem like teams who are physical and grind it out. Somewhat offensively challenged. I think those teams great for UM. Teams that can go small, spread you out, and have multiple scorers/shooters seems worse to me. Basically a poor mans Nova squad. Much scarier than KSU. Thoughts?
The basketball fan in me would love to see Loyola win, but the Michigan fan in me has to root for KSU. Loyola will be everyone's darling in the Final Four if they make it there and neutrals will root for them.
Come on Wildcats.
Based on my limited viewing of them, I also think they could defend us reasonably well given their quickness
Loyola is really quick off the dribble
I’m not sure who to root for here
For us than KSU
agree
On Loyola is like a 60% Haas. Wagner and the pick and roll would eat him up.
He's very quick and mobile for his size.
I mean kenpom has them higher than KSU too
I’m rooting Loyola. Hedging my bets. I think should we win tonight we could definitely beat them. Even if we lose though that would awesome for them to win the whole dang thing.
If Michigan plays to their level should be able to handle these teams so I’m still going underdog/Cinderella.
Loyola is such a good passing team.
Disciplined, great passers, smart and plenty of shooters
Damn Loyola
Loyola has won their 3 games in the tournament by a combined 4 points.
I don't want to have the entire country rooting against us.
Fat Charles Albert Barkley just said he’s going with FSU with the upset. He said their big boys down inside is going to wear our Michigan. Didn’t he say the same thing about TAMU... How did the work out for your Charles?
What a hot take there Charles. Has he picked a winner in this tournament yet?
Out sorry all.
Kansas State is not very good
Loyola would be better prep for Villanova. But they have a magic nun.
Loyola wow
I’m pretty sure our D would shut Loyola down a bit more than this. I’d like that matchup.
Kansas State is 14th in KenPom adjusted defense.
Which has helped Loyola get out in transition. Loyola O is a lot like ours so we'd be ready. Plus our defense is better and our O, specifically Moe on krutwig, would be a mismatch
Go Blers.
Loyola in the Final Four...gots to get to the bookstore to get some Loyola gear to...possibly...hopefully...wear with my Michigan gear next Saturday.
Loyola is pretty fun to watch
Loyola is going to the final four...
With a path somehow softer than ours.
A lot like us. They are the mid major Michigan.
Loyola is impressive
Usually you don’t see a defensive grind it out team win championships or even make final 4’s. Hard to spring 4 wins together with grind it out close games not getting over 65. This is why Loyola and UM had the upper hand today, how it shakes out you never know in a 1 game format. But definitely advantage. Gotta make shots. Gotta have multiple guys make shots. Some games you can get by without, but can’t do it every game.
Also, when you get this late, teams have all won 3+ games in a row. Offense teams get rhythm and the grind it D teams in trouble.
Looks fantastic. What a great run for them. Loyola of freaking Chicago in the final four - wow!
My worry: Whoever plays Loyola next weekend will need to overcome the Cinderella calls from the officials.
K State showing some fight. Loyola playing tight.
Forget the rules. If a defender is standing straight up and not moving, and the ball handler jumps into him, how is that ever a blocking foul??? Why does it matter where he’s standing? You can’t foul somebody if you don’t move.
They get caught up in it too
Defender shifted upper body and got there late.
But does that really constitute a foul?
Yes. It’s a block.
Reeaalllyyyy though?
should we win tonight. The whole country will be rooting for Loyala in the Final 4.
