Jordan Poole cannot stop smiling

Submitted by k.o.k.Law on

Nice Angelique write up:

Poole said his mother has sent him clips of the video “30 times” and through social media he’s seen it over and over.

“I’ve been seeing it left and right,” he said.

How many times?

“Oh my God, probably at least 500 times,” Poole said. “Every time I watch it, I keep getting goosebumps and butterflies because it’s just amazing that I hit the shot.

Funny, I cannot stop smiling about that shot either.  smiley

If it was any other player, I would have concern that they were distracted by this past moment and watching it would over and over could affect their psyche and competitive edge. With Jordan Poole, I don’t worry about anything like that. He is just different than the rest of us.

I loved the shot and it was awesome, but time to move on (at least temporarily) A&M will be playing NBA Jam against us if we are not ultra focused and the smiling will stop real quick. Great shot, let’s move on and make it count for a Final Four and maybe even a National Championship.

I didn’t say that us as fans is going to affect the game against A&M. I’m hoping and pretty confident that JB will have them ready, it’s just that I don’t want our run to end because our guys are still smiling about a buzzer beater in the round of 32. With all the attention I feel like that is a legitimate concern. I hope I’m wrong.

I certainly don't blame him. I mean, I can't stop smiling when I think about that moment and I was only watching on a sofa over 1,000 miles from where the game was actually being played. I can only imagine that his elation is much greater for A) having been there and B) having made the actual shot.

posts would have been torn down... The entire Michigan Nation should bask in the moment and celebrate! The Fun Police should get lost—Since when can’t you enjoy those shining moments when you accomplish your goal with an incredibly entertaining personal effort? In fact, I’m going to watch the shot again 10 more times right now.....

I hope Beilein puts Poole in early for the a&m game. Feel like he is going to go off for a game while riding this high. The biggest problem is he isn't there defensively so if he isn't immediatley hitting shots he can't play

Anyone have a link to the game-winner from the crowd as shown on the MGoBlog front page? Yeah yeah Google it. Tried but I can’t turn that one up. And yes, asking for a friend.

Lets focus on A&M the shot kept us alive for a final four but we still have work to do. Gotta be focused if we’re gonna win tomorrow

Michigan returns to form Thursday and blasts Texas A&M out of the Staple Center. 20 point victory. Michigan goes on to face Purdue in the national title game.

Which we win.

I have seen these things in the realm that is arriving.

Go Blue.

based on what I see as his personality, smiling is Poole's default setting.  He just seems to be that fun dude you want to hang with.  Blowing confetti, mugging the camera behind a trophy presentation...  I'll bet he owns a room when he walks in.  Just seems to be an overall awesome person to be around.
