osu schedule 2010 NSFMF

Submitted by preed1 on

So Michigan 2010 predictions have come and gone this spring. So I want to make my 2010 OSU predictions.  I really think they have trumendous talent, however I feel that history is going to repeat itself for them, and they are not going to live up to the hype.

Marshal- Win, but it's going to close like Navy 2009 and Ohio U 2008. 1-0

Miami Fl- Loss, like USC past 2 years. Miami qb Harris is very good. 1-1

Ohio U- Win, beat down and it will be ugly. 2-1

EMU- Win, but a close game. EMU played us very close last year as well as almost beating Northwestern (not bad for an 0-12 team). 3-1

Illinois- Win, just like how they beat Indiana last year. 4-1

Indiana- Win, just how they beat India last year. 5-1

Wisconsin- Loss, game will be hyped but osu will lose as they lost to PSU 08 and Illinois in 07. 5-2

Purdue- Win, by 2 touchdowns 6-2

Minnesota- Loss, random loss like they had from Purdue last year. 6-3

Penn St.- Win, by 2 touchdowns, 7-3

Iowa- Loss, both teams playing very well but Stanzi puts on a show. 7-4

Michigan- Loss, all is well in the universe again, 7-5

After a 7-5 season irrational osu fans call for tressels head, as they head for the Almo Bowl.

It hurt me greatly taking effort to look up there schedule, but I just want to show that osu can have a below average season this year.

99 days till kickoff.

I think you're a bit optimistic about OSU (optimism as defined by a Michigan fan).  They beat a good Oregon team in a bowl game and they were a young team last year.  Though I'd like to see them lose a bunch of games I don't see that happening.  Wisconsin pounded Miami last year (in a physical sense), I imagine OSU will do the same.  However, if TP goes down, all bets are off.

Actually no ...

a) A UofM beat down of OSU is not likely

b) Ending their NC hopes (again) in Columbus with say 11 seconds left would be priceless

c) I think our odds are increased if they play us conservative like they did last year ... (i.e., I don't have stats to back it up, but my perception is OSU is more likely to loose if they go into the half thinking they are in control)

a) Who cares about unlikely...this is all hypothetical anyway

b) A last second win gives the idiots down here the "the refs stole it" and "you got lucky" arguments that I have to hear.  A drubbing removes all doubt and we get to watch shots of despondent Buckeye fans crying in the stands for 2 hours as DRob runs through their D like Mexican food through my intestine.  I don't understand how a last second win is better than this.

Last second soul-crushing losses < 40 point loss humiliations and subsequent riots in Columbus

agreed - i still have nightmares about Donovan McNabb and Syracuse destroying Michigan in 98, i have less bad memories about UM losing to Purdue by a last second field goal in 00 or 01 or whatever.

also, i know UM won the Orange Bowl vs Alabama, but i rarely brag about it to my knowledgeable friends, since they know UM won by virtue of a missed extra point.

A last second win is great because it's so heart breaking to the opponent, but it makes for an extremely stressful 3 hours of football.  Blowing out your rival is always fun to watch and it's much better for your health.  I'd love to watch a game like the 2006 Notre Dame game.  TOUCHDOWN MANNINGHAM!!!

Score by Quarters 1 2 3 4 Score
----------------- -- -- -- -- -----
Eastern Michigan.... 3 14 0 0 - 17 Record: (0-3)
Michigan............ 10 14 14 7 - 45 Record: (3-0)

I'm guessing OSU will similarly destoy them.  But I predict English won't look as angry as he did after the the '09 Michgan game:

And wager any stakes you'd like.

Don't get me wrong; I wish the Buckeyes nothing but gastrointestinal distress and unsuccessful attempts at carnal relations... but your scenario is an absolute worst-case for them.

They'll likely be significant favorites over Minnesota and Michigan, and will be favored over Wisky and Iowa.

Buckeye fans are terrified to play MSU when they're having a great season.  I was in Cols in 1998 when Sparty beat a #1 ranked OSU team.  Priceless!  Too bad they don't play this year.

I think they drop a game to either Iowa or Wisconsin and are in the NC Game picture at the end.  Trust me, I'd love nothing more than to watch grown folks weep for two weeks following a loss to Michigan in the Horsebarn.  Just not sure I see it this season.

It's kind of hilarious that your worst case scenario prediction for OSU is eerily similar to a best case scenario for Michigan. 7-5 is a disaster for us, and marked improvement for you.

Ugh, I can't wait for this stupid season to start already.

Oh come on now, take some good natured ribbing. It's going to be a long offseason if you don't have a sense of humor.

Besides, admit it: you would be happy with 7-5 or 8-4, and we would be freaking out if we had that record.

That's because you won the big ten last year, we finished at the bottom.  Your QB is going to be a Junior... you shouldn't be  7-5.  If we go 7-5 and we beat Ohio State... I'll be fairly happy.  7-5 and we don't beat Ohio State, I won't be that happy, but at least we'll have made a bowl game.

a osu fan must be biased againt Michigan.  If not, then what is the point.  And any osu fan on this site is most certainly a troll, because why else would a osu fan come here.  Unless of course, he is one of the few smart ones and realizes that nothing intelligent is ever said on an osu board.

is why the f*** are you on this board and have 417 MGoPoints? Why is the post I'm replying to at -25 and yours is at +10 or something?

Who the fuck is +1-ing this guy?? Even if he brings up good points and isn't being a dick, don't +1 him.
