Women's NCAA 2nd Round: Michigan at Baylor
Michigan women are down 8 at the half. Thome and Flaherty need some help, they have 30 of Michigan's 34. Baylor looks way more talented and deeper than us, but we kept making runs to keep it close. But Baylor went on a 5-0 mini-run to close the half and stretch things back out to 8.
Was literally in the process of making this thread. Would be a huge upset if we could pull this off, we've given ourselves a chance so far. Let's Go Blue!
will help
Down 42-34 at the half and defintely still in the game. Baylor is dominating on the offensive glass though.
Yeah, somebody else is going to need to step up and get some scores. Flaherty and Thome are good, all-time in this program in fact, but they can't pull this off by themselves.
if anyone is interested.
Is it your secret stream?
Desperately needed this timeout. KBA cannot take Flaherty or Thome out, without a major run happening, feels like. Haven't been able to get it back under 3 since Baylor made their run near the end of the first quarter.
Women’s basketball is still in its infancy. Too many teams and not enough talent to spread evenly among all the teams. Not to mention u gotta be crazy if you think there ain’t any cheating going on

Why would you cheat? What would be the motivating factor to possibly jeopardizing your program or your lively hood. Only 6 teams really compete anyway and really only 1 year in and year out.

You really gotta fuck up and be stupid about it for the ncaa to do anything

If you are a woman and you can get a scholarship to go anywhere in the country, why would you turn down Stanford, Michigan or an Ivy League school to go to UConn? Wnba players don't draw high salaries on average and they could still go to the WNBA after graduation anyway.

Athletes like to win. UConn is one of the few schools that have shown genuine commitment to winning at women's basketball.
We are clearly overmatched and we don't have an elite ball handler.
They are so much bigger than us and we only have two scorers.
Flaherty playing her ass off right now damn I wish woulda watched more of her games
We look exhausted and it's making us do dumb stuff.
No idea why KBA didn’t use another timeout during that stretch. We needed a breather and a chance to calm down. Playing on tilt and KBA just let it keep going

Church is gonna be good next year. Freshman but she is not playing afraid

Thome is gassed. Probably needed one of Flaherty's absolutely unconscious games to win this.

Mulkay went to the Tim Izzo school of sideline management. She’s on the court every play

Clown and Drama Queen. WHY does ESPN have to focus on her idiotic antics?
March 18th, 2018 at 10:16 PM ^
God knows how Baylor is a 2 seed. One loss the entire season. Big 12 must have had a very down year.

Juicy Landrum might be hurt. Mulkay should have had her backups in by now.

Need some shooting to go with Thome next year.

Still a good season. Should have been a 5 or 6 seed had we not had that rough stretch at the end of the regular season. But we weren’t going to get by a team of quality like Baylor.

I counted at least 10 times the refs pushed Mulkey back off the court. If it were any other coach except Mulkey or Geno at UConn they would have been ejected. She is such an arrogant piece of work. And that goes back to her comments during the Football Rape investigation.

I had forgotten about that. The whole game I was thinking, “why don’t I like her. She did something, but I can’t remember what.”
Great coach, but very obnoxious.
