My (unknown at the time) reaction video to Poole's game winner

Submitted by Qmatic on
My wife took it upon herself to record me multiple times throughout the game last night including during the final seconds. Attached is the video (sorry do not know how to embed) I still am in shock with what went down, and that the cops weren't called due to the loud noise (luckily I have an 89 year old neighbor and my other next door neighbors are also Michigan fans). https://www.facebook.com/serenityoxo/posts/1655746937873820

Alright, I have to admit. I didn't see the end. I turned it off with 3.8 seconds left because I just couldn't watch that fucking manbun d bag and his mini me doppelganger wannabe celebrate a victory, not after the year I've had. So I went to bed and I'm lying there trying to convince myself that it's not all that bad and my wife comes out of the bathroom and says "I guess you shouldn't have turned it off" and she shows me a post on Facebook about it. I ran back to the living and rewound the DVR and watched it. So yeah. That's my story. That's where I was.

Weirdest thing for me was the 180 swing I had.

When the Houston player went to shoot 2 free throws I thought it was over and I calmly lied down on the couch.  After he missed both and Wagner called the timeout, I knew we'd win.  I just thought that we missed so many 3s we'd have to hit the next one (I know that is illogical).

Had remote in hand. Thumb on "Power" button...and went over to the newest puppy (10 month old mix, who is a royal pain in my ass with her antics) who was sleeping on the floor, and said "ok, you can redeem yourself if you're the lucky dog". And..held the remote and the dog....and OMFG.. I screamed like OP--and so did my whole household. So glad I didn't turn it off! That's why you risk it...

After yelling about teske jumping 8 seconds late for every rebound close to him and about beilein running no set plays until the last two possessions, I had enough of the game. I turned it off after they fouled Davis. I looked at my B/R app like 10 minutes later and saw the headline they won. It kinda sucks I turned it off, but I'll take the win over anything.

I let my 11 year old son stay up late and watch the game with me. Right after MAAR missed the lay up and Davis got fouled, we called it quites - for the exact same reasons! Son went to bed, but I couldn't sleep, so I went an organized files in my office (crazy, I know). An hour later I pulled up Mgoblog and I see Jordan Poole muppets! I literally screamed.

Your back roll was decent form, but you really need to keep your knees straight for a proper Jackie Chan kick up.

Hilarious video. Especially love your wife giving you a hard time. As if we care it’s midnight...ha!

Gotta love it. I already said goodnight to my sister and nephew and headed down stairs. Staying with sister while working on my house. I had conceded the fact and told them good night Got down stairs just in time to see it. I then came upstairs, playing the unaware and said, 'Well it's not necessarily over........if we do this......etc." They responded, "You didnt see it?"  I played it as long as i could, about 2, 3 seconds and then we all joined into the Andrew, screaming and carrying on.

I had a very similar reaction with the trey 3 against Kansas. I made a pretty ridiculous whooping sound, one that my wife still gives me shit about to this day. It’s such a weird feeling to go from one state of mind to another at the snap of a finger. Good stuff!

HAHA!!!  That's awesome!  I woke up my wife, who was sleeping with her head on my lap.  I tried to be quiet, but couldn't...  She was upset that I woke her up so rudely...

“It’s midnight!”

I live in a third story condo, when it went in I started screaming, threw off my shirt (no idea why), and ran around upstairs. My dog decided to jump up and bark with me and ended up scratching up my whole stomach.

I am hoping for a scar to remember it by... unreal moment!!!

Awesome man! GO BLUE! I was more in dis-belief. I had to ask my wife, "did that really happen?!?!" Then rewind and rewatch a few times haha. Then got emotional haha

Professionally I am a very mild mannered individual so this has thrown off some of my coworkers. I coach football and basketball so anyone who has either seen me coach or has been around me during a Michigan game are not the least bit surprised.

on the couch by the TV, and we let him be.  No need to wake him to see the end of the misreable 2nd half his older brothers and I were suffering through.  He was going to be devastated either way with the L so let him at least get a night's sleep, I thought...

Needless to say, he was blasted out of the ether by grown and semi-grown men screaming and jumping off furniture.  Waking to pandemonium...  I can only imagine the story he'll tell years down the road.  Needless to say, dad got scolded and sternly told to "never let that happen again".  Good times.

I had the exact same reaction. My wife had to leave the room because she couldn't take the suspense leading up to the shot. She came back to me reacting just like that.
