yea, if you listen to the broadcasters on the final play, their tone of voice implied that they had ZERO confidence in UM hitting that shot, with how poor our shooting was all game.

you can feel it, the energy is palpable, when a possible comeback/walkoff play is in the air, and to be honest, prior to the inbounds it felt like there was zero chance--the team was too cold/not really that pumped--for that shot to go in.

and i'm a hardcore "we're gonna come back, just wait for it" for all UM FB and BB, probably because when I was a kid the first season I watched was 1997 FB (i cut out all the sunday paper photos and recaps and everything).

hopefully the numbers pay off and there's a statistical correction (like that houston player's season 67% FT shooting regressed towards the mean and his missed those last two free throws, priorly shooting 9/9, 100% before then), and Michigan returns to form after such a slow/bad shooting start.

I'd rather Michigan play A&M than UNC also. Hopefully I don't rue my words, but A&M doesn't appear to have a lot of offensive firepower based on season stats. Michigan will have to shoot a LOT better than they did in the first round, but if they can manage to get hot it could be a comfortable win. UNC was a scary good offensive team that went ice cold today. A&M is no slouch team though, and their defense is legit, so I wouldn't underestimate them.

They have some bad losses and great wins. Their front line is tall and tall and athletic. DRob MSU have his hands full. They don’t really shoot much from three but clean the boards and scrap.

in both 3-pointers per game and 3-point percentage. Seems like they had a paticularly hot game because they clearly weren't draining them like this all season.

Wow, could this weekend be any better? Michigan wins at the buzzer. UNC loses, which improves UM's chances of getting to the Final Four. MSU and OSU lose. Hockey gets a 2 seed in a decent matchup.

Maybe wrong word choice there. Appropriately seeded based on their resume, but moreso meant that were they to have there full complement of players all year, they likely wouldn’t have lost that many and would have been seeded higher. Essentially, don’t feel their current seed is reflective of their present talent level. I think they were a top 10 team earlier this year.

of the performances in this tournament are baffling. I am wondering if Virginia and NC are getting a close look in the FBI probe. Both of those teams looked distracted to the point of disinterest. On the hand, MSU looked interested, they just suck.

It's funny. UNC clearly cheated in the classroom, but as far as the one-year rentals of one-and-dones are concerned, they don't seem to be at the level of Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky. (Oh, and Sparty.) I'd guess that they're cheating _less_ than those schools.

I've never had the sense that UVa is cheating.

Could be a good match-up for us. UNC was like 5-30 from three and TAMU shot something like 10-23. That's the difference in the game right there. We guard well against the three and typically shot well from three.
