1-15!
Barkley at 1, roquan smith at 4.
Please no. I want Roquan at 10.
I'm making a big brown move on the potty right now.
My entire family stared across the room as I laughed very loudly at the word potty.
Should take saquon #1 and whatever is left of darnold/rosen/allen at 4.
That would take some real guts. RBs, even when they are brilliant (see: Adrian Peterson in modern times, Barry in the olden days) don't make teams. So assuming Saquon pans out, Cleveland would still need a lot of team to put around him.
On the other hand, if they really like all of those QB options, they're guaranteed a good pickup no matter who. It would certainly be interesting.
But Barkley isn't even the only great RB in this draft class. It feels like there has to be someone else at #4 that can be a huge asset elsewhere on the field, then move into the late first and get a guy like Michel.
The thing is nobody has any clue which QB will be the best one, teams get it wrong all the time, just look at the Bears last year trading an arm and a leg to move up and get Trubitzky while they could have had Deshaun Watson for free. Deshaun Watson so far is the best QB by a mile of that class and he was the 3rd one taken at 12. Saquon was a stud behind a crap OL last year and then dominated the combine. Everyone rates him the #1 player in the draft. Why worry about which QB is the best when you can take the obvious best player in the draft then take one of the 3 top QBs that nobody can agree which one is the best anyway.
Saquon would help them he is a freak... don't expect him to fizzle out
I don't expect him to fizzle, either, but even if he is the next AP (possible!) Cleveland needs a ton of help around him to do anything long term. Minnesota needed Favre and a host of other talent just to make a conference final with AP, and got better as soon as he left.

Barkley at #1. Sanders at #3. Check numbers at the end of Barkley's career and they won't even be close. He won't even put up the most rushing yards of all the rookies. IMO.
they don't NEED a running back, so unless they go Barkley at 1, they won't take a back in the first 2 rounds. I'd take Barkley at 1, because he's a generational talent. he won't be around at 4. take him at 1, because you don't pass on a generational talent.
Generational...I don't think so. I recall many of the same superlatives being tossed Reggie Bush's way several years ago, and Ricky Williams before that. Certainly solid careers, but didn't turn out to be game changers.
Reggie was all speed though, wasn't the work horse needed to succeed. Williams had good years, just wasn't there upstairs. Once Reggie learned how to play in the NFL, he was atleast solid. Barkley is talent above zeke.
Duh! They have a QB now!
But if there's a franchise that can solve the puzzle and go 0-17, the Browns are it.
And got rid of Kizer
Good for Kizer!
will be interesting to see if he's a good QB for Cleveland or if the cleveland tornado of QB suckitude envelopes him as well
Yes. Tyrod Taylor is totally the answer to that QB riddle.
Actually feel bad for Taylor. Was solid all season for the Bills, only for his coach to try to replace him with an awful rookie for no reason and then get traded to the Browns. Doubt Bills will improve at the position if the coach has any input
The only people who think Tyrod is solid is people who don't watch the Bills play. Tyrod is really mediocre. Never missed an opportunity to throw a 2 yard check down on 3rd and long

Somewhere Joey Harrington is smiling and proud.

Idk what you want from a guy. Almost a 3:1 TD:INT for his career, 60+% passing, a handful of rushing TDs a year, 22-20 career record. He’s not going to be the reason you win or lose games. Which is what you want from a guy that isn’t going to be a franchise Qb. Bills have been atrocious at Qb position for almost two decades, so I would be taking mediocre over what you’re used to. Not as bad as Lions fans complaining about Stafford, but geez.
To winning the offseason. Will it translate into more wins this season? If they win just one game it is an improvement obviously. IMO I think they will still be lucky to win 4-5 games this year. One would think that Cleveland could possibly get it right in the draft this year. The real drama is seeing just exactly how they blow it because it is Cleveland.
"Better than they were yesterday at least"
That's like saying that they have the biggest cock in the Unsullied army.
+1 for GOT reference, if not truth.
My unpopular opinion is that Taylor is a better QB than Stafford. Cleveland would have to be crazy unlucky to not make the playoffs next year. I see them winning the AFC North, battling the Bengals for 1st place in the division.
1. Browns - Finishes 2nd in the AFC, 2 games behind the Patriots.
2. Bengals - Finishes 1st in the wild card
3. Steelers - Misses playoffs
4. Ravens - Misses playoffs
That must be some good shit you're smokin'....
I am going to go ahead and say that you might have overthought this a bit...
This ain’t your daddy’s ditch weed...

They didn’t even one a freaking game last year and you’re now declaring them AFC North champs...dafuq is the logic there?
The fact that an opinion is unpopular doesn't mean it's not insane.
on MGoBlog.
After this, they’re out of their minds if they don’t trade that #1 pick for a better haul this year or next. They can grab some solid linemen or defensive players and use Taylor as the stopgap at QB until a more viable option comes along. If you want to pin your franchise’s hopes on Darnold or Rosen, then...good luck to you.
Thought they were going to sign Mccarron and draft Barkley.
if you're going to draft Rosen, Allen, or Darnold, you don't really need a bridge quarterback like Taylor. If their intention is now to flip #1 for multiple picks and take a RB and defenders, how good can they possibly expect to be with Tyrod running the show? And then where are they spending their $100M in cap space? obviously Cousins must have let them know he wasn't coming, but if you're trying to remove the stench of 0-16, you need to make bigger moves than these. I just don't understand the front office's thinking here. I hope mGrowOld chimes in to enlighten us.
No one out-Browns the Browns.

Only Kevin Costner can make Draft Day Work in Cleveland

This is the same Barkley who ran 14 times for 35 yards against Rutgers.
Let some other team fall for that.
