One Frame At A Time: Big Ten Tournament Comment Count

Ace

There are a ridiculous number of GIFs from the Big Ten title run. Instead of attempting to rank all of them or cram everything into one post, I've changed the format up a bit, breaking up the GIFs by game or, in coach- or Poole-related cases, theme. You can find all of them and many, many more at the MGoBlog Gfycat page.

is crazy.  It's the look of people who put in lots of physical and emotional effort for a whole season only to find themselves at a loss when they realize one of the top offensive minds in college basketball has a defense to match.

The gif that ends with Matthews laughing at Ward really shows how after he got blocked, Ward grabbed Teske in a headlock and brought him down to the floor. A dangerous play by an incredible asshole.

Hopefully Ward declares for the draft, goes undrafted, and ends up with some third-division team in Belarus.

The Dirk - After seeing 50,000 opponents get that shot off against us over the years, it's nice to see it go our way.

On Teske's dunk, he didn't know he had been fouled.  Probably too excited to notice.  But Simpson's reaction is a pretty funny consolation prize.

One of my favorite features that I've missed this basketball season during your reduced schedule Ace - thanks for devoting the time and energy to these this week. (Contunued good wishes for your full recovery & effective long-term health management, by the way.)

Now, sadly for me, I can't enjoy them until I get home, as work is now blocking all file sharing sites like gfycat & flicker... but the anticipation is sweet!

And the auto-generated URL titles for each .gif are hilarious as well. I think I enjoyed those as much as the .gifs themselves. *Nerd alert*

MSU floor-slapping is such a cliche now that it's basically just them bowing down before our offense out of respect, right?

I mean, this gif just looks like genuflection to me.

1) classy Iowa player helping Z off the deck on the and one

2) there are more clips than I expected in which Matthews is making the right pass, play, etc.  We all had highest expectations of him in November and he started the year with the points to prove it.  It seems to me his own evolution as team player, understanding the system, playing his role better is also a great subplot on our year.

I just watched the Duncan Dagger 3 for Iowa  10 times.  It's memorizing.  The net doesn't even move.

There's a reason even the announcers drool over his shot, its a work of art.
