I hope this isn't too political - but did you see MSU went to see Hamilton?

I understand that right after the show, to give the Spartans some historical perspective, Tom Izzo said this....
Imagine that I am Alexander Hamilton.
And John Beilein is Aaron Burr.
Where's the outrage over the Spartys practicing in another location during spring break?
Should've went to go see it this past Sunday since they had nothing else to do that day.
There's nothing about the Hamilton/Burr thing in the article.
Good for them (seriously). Always a good idea to be more cultured.
Good dude. Made Manager at MI-T-Mart. Got to know his sister well...
No Shoes.
No Shirt.
NO DICE.
Pep?
And, dare I say, he's better than the King George from the original cast.
I mean, that's true in Chicago, too. That character is amazing.
Hamilton is the best musical this decade.
Do you know how much I wanna see this show?
I love this play so much I actually read the book it was inspired by.
Also Izzo is comparing himself to a guy who cheated on his wife.
Then again Burr wasn't really a good little angel so...
Beilein shot Izzo!!!!
"What do you stand for? What do you stand for? If you stand for nothing, Burr, what'll you fall for?"
That seems much more applicable to Izzo as Burr than the other way around...
Hamilton was smart and had a lasting impact for the better. Definitely not Izzo.
And they ran out of gas and had to trade pizzas for gas to get home.
tickets for that are still crazy expensive; how did this one fly? Granted I know we send our team on a european vacation but... something something improper benefits, something something $40?
Madison FTW don't @ me
Yass, Queen, Yasssss
I'd probably agree, but Coolidge is close (okay this is really doing a dance on the political line).
to the Hamilton Beach blender factory. At the end of the shift the entire staff turned to face Izzo and pleaded with him not to ruin their beloved college basketball.
Now that we have swept MSU this season, I no longer care one tiny bit about anything they think do or say.
Nada.
If we match up with them in the NCAAs, then I will pay attention to them, but only in terms of basketball matchups.
Although . . . if the FBI comes crashing down on their heads, I might wake up for that.
They walked out singing:
I am not going to make my shot
I am not going to make my shot
I am just like my coach
As dirty as a roach
And I am not going to make my shot.
Or something like that...
Well, uh, Hamilton was a politician, so.... (???)
Do we make exceptions for non-elected bureaucrats?
Hamilton served in the NY State Assembly in 1787, that's how he was named as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia that year.
Right, but I figure it's pretty non-partisan to support the founding of this nation, so I assume that election is safe to talk about lol.
They can relate to the ending.
It sucks they had to sit through a musical. I don't know why this is interesting to any of us though. As far as punishments go, this is pretty mild.
That's cool, and I'm glad MSU did it. Cumong, don't rip on Izzo for that. Would love to see Hamilton myself. Sent my wife and daughters, but it was close to a grand for the three of them. Love stuff like this. Of course, Michigan's break was last week, and they were otherwise occupied, thankfully. But if their break was this week, they should have stayed in NYC an extra day.
Hamilton is the one show I actually want to watch (versus all the ones my parents dragged me to when I was a kid). But, I just can't afford it. My grad school had an allotment of like 20 tickets they lotteryed off at like $75 a pop. They went QUICK.
I still need to the check out the Book of Mormon.
