Give me Wisconsin for the easier route and to make sure MSU has no shot to even the score this season.
I was just about to post something like this, hence the reason why I said it the day we beat them. Let them sit on a fat dick until next season. They beat us in our number one sport, so we returned the favor.
That’s Karma fo yo Ass!!!
If they are sitting where our friend from Sydney proposes
Is our #1 sport.
Do we need to rank them? To paraphrase Lloyd, I like 'em all.
I'm hoping it slots them in a #3 seed with a loss.
Fuck sparty let’s blast them back to the shit hole from whence they came
Considering that Nebraska dealt us our worst defeat in B1G play, that's a pretty big assumption.
And MSU lost by twenty to OSU on the road. What's your point?
Northwestern?
Worst in terms of whipping our ass. Not "worst team". (I assume he meant)
Give me MSU... all day! We match up very well against them. We can validate our first win against them. We can claim dominance over them again. We have a better coach, a better coaching staff, and karma on our side! Beating Michigan State would also put us in the conversation for a four seed. I do not see any downside to playing them. If they beat us, ho-hum, they were supposed to beat us and they have a dirty program.
needs no validation. It was covincing and it was on the road.
It was a 10 point road win! It does not require validation. I stand corrected on that particular point. Still, it would be sweet joy to beat them again.
There are pros and cons both ways.
- It would be nice to see comeuppance for MSU by losing to Wisconsin, however,
- It would also be very nice to be able to beat them twice this season.
- It would be easier to play against Wisconsin, however,
- It would be better for Michigan's seeding in the NCAA to beat MSU (quadrant 1 win).
- It would be nice to see MSU lose to Wisconsin, and be seeded lower, however
- It would be awesome to see MSU's tears of infinite sorrow if losing to Michigan.
Honestly, I don't care, but if I was forced to choose, I thinj MSU will win against Wisconsin anyway, so I will focus on that as the likely opponent.
Why should I change now?
Since it's against Wisconsin and we have to be somewhat realistic, I would root for MSU to lose by 1. 38-37.
And then I would like the reporters to only ask Izzo questions about basketball:
"When you field a basketball team playing a basketball game, which only has to do with the round ball on the 94 foot court with a 10 foot rim...why do you choose to play rapists?"
"Jaren Jackson is obviously more powerful than his opponents and when he throws his weight around he seems to get the benefit of the doubt from officials. Do you feel this is analogous to Adrien Payne's actions off the court and the local police authority's resonse?"
"Seriously, you're going to dictate to the free press that we can't ask a question about how you have no fucking morals, you fucking whiny bitch? Fine. You lost to Middle Tennessee State as a 2-seed. That's a not a question, I'm just reminding you."
I quite enjoyed this post.
those were my postgame questions, too.
I think they will lose 40-39. Just my opinion.
"Coach Izzo, one question for you. Basketball what are your thoughts on basketball the perception that's out there of msu, yourself included, fostering basketball an environment of athlete entitlement, particularly in regards basketball to sexual assault basketball basketball basketball?
Banner material right there.
this is the right answer ... there are pros and cons with both
root for us to rout whoever we play on our route to another B1G championship.
Way to get to the root of the matter...
Rooting for a rout was the easiest route to the root of the matter.
Molester State U
I know the acronym doesn't match, but I prefer Infowars State University given that their administration and fanbase believe there's a massive FBI/NCAA/Blue Wall/media/ESPN/Paula LaVigne/Yahoo/Pete Thamel conspiracy against MSU.
I realize you said should we beat them, I don't care whom we play as long as we play to our capabilities we can beat anyone.
Today's game was a cluster fuck yet somehow we won, gotta play way better than we did against Iowa.
Oh, don’t worry. My focus is 100% on Nebraska. No chance that I can lose this one. Wait, I’m not playing and it doesn’t matter where the hell my focus is? K. I’ll take MSU, then.
Nebraska then MSU. No reason to shy away from giving it to them twice
Wisconsin but I'm fine with MSU
Staee
Um we play tomorrow against Nebraska at 225pm et. That’s all we should be talking about
That’s not in the immediate future either.
Didn’t see your thread talking about it
I know what you're saying, but we shouldn't even be talking about Nebraska until the team successfully completes breakfast. One step at a time, please.
Whoa there. Shouldn't even be talking about breakfast until the coffee's ready. Hasn't even been ground yet!
Personally, I'm not cashing in the Nebraska game quite yet, but to play along I'll say MSU. If we win, we jump up the seed ranks. If we lose, it doesn't hurt us at all. I think the opportunity for an impact win, without any real risk, is a good thing.
This risk is you have to live with a loss to Staee. We already ruined their season, no need to give them an opportunity at redemption.
I'm fine with that. I'd rather be in a better position to win a National Championship than worry about MSU.
That would love to see Rutgers win the whole tournament. It’s the part deep inside my anus where it smells like Jersey
Interesting. Mine smells like Gary, IN.
Win or go home
Nebraska first okay?
Cripes.
I think a win against sparty does more for this team's confidence and the wave they ride into the big dance.
I always laugh at these comments. As if us, as fans, have to stay focused on the next game, or the team will lose focus and thus - lose the game.
OP asks a hypothetical question on who we would prefer to play if, and only if, we beat Neb. Im mixed on this one. I always want MSU to lose and them losing their first game of the tournament would be fun. That said, a chance to beat them again is very enticing not to mention good for our seeding.
Last time we played Nebraska, someone posted a thread before the game saying how much we would move up in the rankings because so many other ranked teams lost. Well we all remember what happened....
Of the fans posting on a blog?
That’s some serious voodoo, man.
