Michigan/Iowa spread finally posted. Michigan -9 (currently)
It finally got posted on Bovada, and Michigan is currently a 9.5 favorite . 5Dimes has it at -10, though
EDIT: Bovada has Michigan at -9 now
Over/Under is about 150 at most sportsbooks.

Other spreads of interest today:
Maryland -2.5 vs Wisconsin
Indiana -7.5 favorte vs Rutgers
Penn St -5.5 vs Northwestern
Man City -140 moneyline over Arsenal
into the over on this game (it's 150.5).
Really? You think Iowa gets 70+ points on Michigan today? I don't see it, I think Mich D's em up and slows this game down a bit. Hopefully some hot shooting can afford them to play some bench players more minutes and conserve their energy for Nebraska and hopefully a primetime MSU game on Saturday.
I see this as more of a 74-62 game, w Michigan controlling the tempo, getting back on D and playing tough, etc. I would actually take the under - but wouldn't bet the farm on it, or the -9.5 spread, which I think is fair.
We'll need to score 100.
We play defense now.
their 51 points in the first half against Maryland to be the base score for every follow up half, so 100 pts seems completely reasonable.
Last two times we played them, points were 143 and 133. The under is the obvious gamble IMO
And those are games with one team playing on a court that they are familiar in. I have no statistical evidence to back this up, but I imagine neutral court games are Under picks central.
And in a tournament, where if a team is up they are going to try to shorten the game as much as possible to rest their players.
Bold move. The totals were 143 and 133 in Michigan’s two games against Iowa this year.
Hope it works out for your kids.
Do you hate your kid? 150 seems high to me.
Yikes - I hope that was just a figure of speech...
of my children, fear not. I lost $25 and they will still all be attending Hamburger University as planned.
-10.0 for me.
WIN
THE
GAME
Yes. And watch the dozens of really weird facial expressions on Luka Garza throughout the game.
The confused Frankenstein look seems to be his favorite.
Iowa's D may be suspect, but that offense looked good enough to put up points on anybody (I know, I know, it was Illinois). Hopefully they don't have any gas left in the tank today.
I think Iowa’s gas tank is irrelevant if Michigan plays well.
It’s our game to lose obviously. If we play like we can it’s a blowout. If we put an imaginary lid on the basket, it could be scary for 30 min or so. Still think we pull it out either way.
playing basketball in Madison Square Garden. I wouldn't count on them "running out of gas". We certainly didn't after a plane wreck and 4 straight games last year...
Hopefully, they run out of balls going through the basket with a Michigan player right in their face all day. That sounds like a likely scenario to me...
EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Steve Finamore, the coach of the East Lansing boys basketball team, has resigned.
Finamore was in his eighth season as East Lansing’s coach, leaving his mark on the Trojans basketball program with a combined record of 62 and 4 with two consecutive CAAC Blue Titles with a chance at another one this year.
The suspension stems from an incident in the hallway of East Lansing High School. A parent of one of the East Lansing players approached Finamore and was upset about that players’ lack of playing time. Finamore objected to the parents’ timing of the complaint and when Athletic Director Tom Hunt interceded, he and Finamore got into a shouting match.
Finamore was then told he was suspended.
On Monday, Finamore announced his resignation.
In other news, Foster Loyer reportedly has a torn meniscus.
Saw Noel Gallagher when he was in town and he had a Man City flag on display on the stage. I thought that was pretty cool, better than the performer coming in and stiffly wearing a hat/jersey of a local team just to get some applause.
Since I have a legitimate reason, what you say on the over/under on 12 oz. OBERONS?
KenPom likes Michigan, 80-71, in a 66 possession game.
WarrenNolan.com likes Michigan, 79-70.
and 150 total, it's almost like all those guys in Vegas know what they are doing.
I think the obvious bets here are Iowa +9.5 and under 150. I don't think the game will be that competitive though and if the line were -7.5 or something, I'd take Michigan.
play Illinois every year in our first game of the tournament. I'm not quite comfortable with this Iowa business yet.
Prior to this year I didn't even realize there were seeds. I thought we just always had to play Illinois first, Purdue second, so on and so on

the Michigan-Illinois game is seriously an early March tradition. I am going to miss it this year. It is always too bad when you don't get an opportunity to play a rivalry game.
Beating any team three times in one season isn't an easy task -- but I like our chances today, and then some, to do so.
Iowa has a great offense, but one of the worst defenses in the country. Couple that with Michigan's solid defense all season long, and I think that's a formula for another W, even if we don't shoot the lights out today.
If we are shooting well, too, then...it's gonna be a long, long day for the Hawkeyes.
Go Blue!
Michigan is going to have a lot of drives and drive kickout 3s. Iowa shot well and probably will continue to shoot well, but the Michigan offense is way too efficient for Iowa to shutdown. Also, Michigan may force 15+ turnovers.
I don't bet on games. Still had the basics correct, other than the referees being shit and calling stupid fouls on Wagner and MAAR. I guess you guys really do get shafted a lot by the zebras.
Wolverines do love some cornbread with their meal :)
