Just IN: Golic Commits NCAA violations at ND
According to ESPN's Mike and Mike in the morning Mike Golic just broke down to tell us all that he had inproper contact with Jimmah Clausen when he was being recruited by ND. He said hello to him at a banquet and therefore committed a major violation to the nation's winningest..... uh second winningest program.
Free Press reporters are en route to South Bend, IN to get the real story as details come out.
....
I think there may have been a lot of improper contact during Clausen's college football career...stay tuned.
Do you mean when "my hero" punched him in the face?
That and all of Charlie's attempts to eat his tasty loins.
I'm pretty sure that his appearance in that "We Are ND" video somehow violates NCAA regulations.
If it doesn't it should.
There should be an NCAA regulation against a hideous video like "We Are ND" ever, ever seeing the light of day again.
The punishment was the release of the video to the general public and the continuous loop in Coach Kelly's office
Normally I love jokes about ND, but this one isn't really all that funny.
Just because you have received 200 MGoPoints doesn't mean you can go all willy-nilly with your posts.
On Mike & Mike this morning, Greenberg said that the self-imposed sanctions were "nothing" (though it wasn't clear that he was saying that they weren't enough), and Golic gave the impression that they might not be nearly enough. It wasn't clear that Greenberg had given any thought to what Michigan was alleged to have done. Golic, it seemed to me, didn't want to consider the nature of the allegations b/c then he would have had to admit that they didn't merit any serious punishment.
On another note, I will be imposing sanctions on myself for listening to Mike & Mike.
"On another note, I will be imposing sanctions on myself for listening to Mike & Mike. "
If there's a national show that's less listenable, thought-provoking, entertaining or enlightening, I've yet to find it.
And I happened to tune in for a few minutes this morning. I share your shame.
At least they are arrogant, pompous asses like Cowherd, Huge, and most other radio talk shows. To make terrible jokes, I would rather listen to an actual "cow heard" and huge's opinion has very tiny merit in my book. Ok, sorry for that, anyway, everywhere I've lived, having to listen to the local guys are even worse, because they think they need to "know more than every other person out there" when they don't know anything. Sometimes I don't think half of them even watch sports, and if they do then they obviously are unaware of what is happening.
So back to Mike and Mike, I for one, don't actually mind them, at least when they don't know what they're talking about, they admit it, they have good guests, and in my epinion are some of the most listenable sports radio personalities
