Have you seen thelineup for "new" TV shows this year?  Wringing money from far less successful franchises:

Heathers
Roseanne
Murphy Brown
Charmed
Lost In Space

I blame this all on the incredible success of Episode 1 20 years ago.  Jar Jar Binks continues to fuck us all over even after he's gone. (He's dead right?  We can bank on that?  Like, he's not some lifeform that lives for 200 years or something and is gonna show up to save Rey two years from now?)

have seen that.  It makes a compelling case.  The best point it makes is how Mr. Miyagi Bruce Lee-d a group of 15 and 16 year olds and it was all good.  I also have to agree that the beach melee was, on balance, Daniel's doing.

As for Cobra Kai.  Looks awesome.

Another scene where Daniel is proven to be a sociopath is after the Cobra Kai instuctor punches the car windows and the infamous "honk" by Miyagi, the two are walking away and the following conversation occurs:

Daniel:  "You couldn've killed him, huh?"

Miyagi:  "Aye."

Daniel: "Well why didn't you then?"

He literally asked why he didn't kill a guy when given the chance?!? A real psycho.

I was informed by my son yesterday that we should root for the Empire in Star Wars because the Rebels are terrorists. I pointed out that the Empire destroyed a whole planet of innocent people. He responded that there were many innocent engineers and construction workers on the Death Star when Luke destroyed it.

I watched a good chunk of Karate Kid III the other night, and it might be in the conversation for worst movie and acting of all time. If I’ll sit through some of that, I’d definitely watch this new stuff. Anything to turn back time and enjoy my long-ago youth for a few minutes.
