+1 for high fat low carb, if you don't mindlessly follow what the doctors and nutrionists and the government parrots out of their textbooks and lobbyists from the sugar and grain companies then it is the obvious choice. Btw low carb means a fuckton of vegetables still, not limiting oneself to one slice of bread. The vast majority of our nutrition advice comes from an ansel keyes study that got laughed out of a conference of his peers before lobbyists got it installed as the food pyramid and revolved around terribly analyzed data and from the framingham study that sure does show low fat high carb will make you die from heart disease less by an incredibly tiny percentage while ignoring that you will also die younger from something else at a far greater percentage.

 

We're evolutionally designed to eat meat, tons of fat, vegetables, and pre-agriculture fruit that had far less sugar, far more water, and far far more fat (like an avocado or coconut).
