I was going off of someone saying the hometown team.  Could still be a payout, or then Bama was the close to hometown team, or just all the bad press at Florida and tire fire they were.

Heck I hear they even lost to Michigan.

Thanks for correcting me!

Love this board but goodness you guys sometimes are so ridiculous with your comments from the watchtower.

She wanted him out of town and away from the gangs and crew that he was hanging around and violence in Florida that her son's crowd was always a part of.

Yes she was a bit upset and acted immaturely but to rake her across the leaves as a bad parent or that she's taking money and it's ruining her payday.

Get it together people.

The whole family wanted Alabama or Tennessee he said I’m going to Florida.... Horrible decision but it is his decision

Not necessarily. she may have genuinely wanted him to go to the best football program over the last 10 years. at Florida, it's a new staff, no good results lately, and hometown. Maybe he has bad influences around him and she wanted him to get away. it's not just because she missed out on some benefits.

You might be right. But it could have had something to do with the 9 players who charged with credit card fraud last year, or maybe even the fact that the coaching staff which recruited him is no longer there.

I'm not sure that I would want my son playing for UofF in its current state (especially under Dan Mullen and Co.), but I'd like to think that I would handle it better than his mom did.

Every time i see someone calling someone else a snowflake, Idk why but i just picture some older person at their keyboard, pining away for “how things used to be”, wishing gas was still 25 cents a gallon, and kids walked to school uphill both ways lol. What movie/book is it from?

MGoBoard Post Quality Litmus Test #72:

  1. Does the post contain the word snowflake? If yes, go to Step 2. If no, go to step 4.
  2. Is the thread or post about actual weather or snow? If yes, go to Step 4. If not go to Step 3.
  3. Neg!
  4. Don't neg. Consider other litmus tests (see, e.g., Litmus Test #16: Is it a  lame WD joke?; Litmus Test #107: Stupid dilly dilly jokes; and Litmus Test #139: Should Drevno and Pep be Fired - Part 2123243 of 49234028204).

Not gonna lie. Super odd seeing someone wear Tenn and Bama colors even if it’s not much of a rivalry these days.

At least she came back and hugged it out when she realized what bitch she was when her son started crying.

Rumor is that she faked it for the publicity and when the cameras were off went and hugged her son and signed the LOI.

Anything for your 15 minutes...I guess.

a) The cameras were on for the hug.

b) Copeland posted on Tuesday night that he was having a hard time making his decision and spent hours crying about making the right choice, and he still didn't have an answer.

Anything's possible, but there's a strong possibility that this was just a very tough decision for the family (and Copeland himself).
