Signing day predictions? Thoughts and Predictions for Future Classes?
Given that signing day is on Wednesday and the anticipation is building to see who we sign and can hold on to (Reese). I wanted to know who the board wants Signed the most on Wednesday. Also, I thought it would be interesting to know what recruits you guys want Targeted the most for 2019, and any predictions/best guess lists for michigans recruting class in 2019. Lastly since its so far away, any targets you wanna see signed for 2020..
Personally I'd like to see michigan Target and lock down recruiting In-State with all the talent in the next two classes. For Example, in 2020 Michigan might not even have to leave state for elite Wrs.
Below I added the guys I'd like them to Target in 2019, and the links to Michigans top target lists for both 2019 and 2020 so you guys can see who they are already going after.
My Top Targets for 2019:
QB- Taisun Phommachanh
RB- Quavaris Crouch, John Emery Jr, Sampson James
WR- David Bell, Isiaiah Williams, and Marcus Washinton
TE- Ryland Goede
OT Logan Brown, Devontae Dobbs, and Trevor Keegan, Xavier Truss
DT- Ishmael Sopsher, Mazi Smith
DE- Zach Harrison
LB- Anthony Solomon, Marel Lewis
CB- DJ Turner, Warren Burrell
S/Viper- Lewis Cine, Marvin Grant jr

for the feed back. You're right about it being misleading, it was confusing. I changed it, so hopefully the new one makes more sense!

If we do get a commit, it won't be someone we are excited about.

Obviously the biggest target on Wed is NPF, but who knows on him.
We hold on to Reese.
2019 is a top 8 class after a big year this year. From you list I think we get Phommachanh, Crouch, Bell, Williams, Washington, Brown, Truss, Smith, Solomon, Lewis, Turner, Cine, Grant.
For 2019 TE I want Hundson Henry and Isaiah Foskey.
Sampson James is good, I'd like Eric Gray from Memphis even more.
Lance Dixon for Viper.
DL - Karlaftis, Travon Walker, Jowon Briggs
LB - Shane Lee and Owen Pappoe are the big timers we should pursue but are unlikely, sounds like Pappoe will visit soon. Kalen Deloach and Mikel Jones are good too.
CB - Chris Steele and Nyquee Hawkins

Imagine if we get through the ND game and the OLine isn’t improved. Chaos.

That's insanity defined right there (doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result).
Instead of wasting two or more hours pumping a stupid well trying to get a drink, a smart person would have found a nearby water fountain, vending machine or even driven to a nearby convenience store and paid $1.50 for a bottle of water.

Hey Tim . . . while you were sweating it out pumping futilely in the hot sun, Joe Moorhead picked up the garden hose that was just lying there all along, got himself a nice cool drink, and spent the rest of the afternoon in the shade.

Maybe we should save all of our PWO announcements for NSD in case we get shut out.

Anderson and Patterson are two big transfers if they’re playing next year. They should be considered as part of the recruiting class/effort.

We bring back everyone except Hurst and add a guy who was on pace to throw for 3800 yards in the SEC. We return 85% of rushing yards and 95% of receiving yards. I think our defense will be as good as it was in 2016. I don't think the schedule is harder than it was in 2016 and we don't have a late season trap game like Iowa. My high level presumptions for 2018 are
2018 Defense = 2016 Defense...Nuff said. Should be Top 3 in S&P.
2018 QB > 2016 QB...Shea is better and more mobile than Wilton. Easy
2018 WR > 2016 WR...Darboh and Chesson were very solid but their athletic ceilings are much lower than Black and DPJ. Throw in Perry still being around, possible Oliver Martin, Nico Collins, Kekoa Crawford contributions and I think our WR room is actually stronger next year.
2018 RB > 2016 RB...Evans is still here and Higdon is a legit 1000 yard guy. Walker should finally get a chance to shine with a year of Herbert and some of Isaac's carry's.
2018 TE < to = 2016...Butt isn't here but both McKeon and Gentry became top targets last year and I think by the end of 2018 the overall TE position could match Butt's production.
2018 OL = to < 2016 OL...obviously the big question. The interior of the OL should be well ahead of the the interior of the 2016 OL, actually. Whether the ability of the units are similar, or the 2018 unit is better will depend on the OTs. I think we get average-ish play from the OTs and it's sufficient.
I expect the division to be on the line in Columbus.

Must include not only an expectation of at least 2 devestating injury again, but also no improvement from any of the returning players, which is ridiculous. I think predicting 4-5 losses is nuts.

Just hope we keep Reese, and land NPF. If things go south with Reese, somebody with technical skills needs to post the Reese's PB Cup commercial "You're gonna miss me when I'm gone."-
February 3rd, 2018 at 6:18 PM ^
Reese
NPF
Patterson (heard we are out though)
Missing any? Clearly Anderson, but his cutoff isn't Wednesday.

Nicholas Petit-Frere
Otis Reese
and I'm super ecstatic.
Anderson as well (though he probably waits until after signing day to see where things shake out) and I'll probably do something random like donate to the general fund and re-up my amazon prime membership for the Michigan series.
