the John Wall dance
This just in...I heard the contract that the Wizards are going to offer Wall is less than the one Calipari gave him to play at Kentucky.
I'm right there with you pops
I want the Pistons to take Darko Millicac.........or however you spell it..........Oh wrong year?
Comedy FAIL
How many spells?
Guess a quick google search was out of line.
you hurt my e-feelings. Now I'll have to cut myself again.
Ed Davis
I would like Cousins to drop to the Pistons. I highly doubt he lasts that long, but he's a beast. Favors would be another guy I'd like but he'll be gone too. No tweeners though, that's all I ask.
No way Cousins drops to 7. He's too good to not be taken top 5.
but he could drop due to his laziness(especially on defense) and he has voliatile personality(similar to Sheed). He's a great talent but the two negatives that I mentioned could hold him back from becoming a good C in the next level.
I used "John Wall Dance" while playing scatergories. My friends wouldn't count it.
Catergory was types of dances, letter was J
WTF!
That's why I can't play Scattergories anymore. It harms the creative types and there's way too much gray area. I personally think you should've gotten a point for that though.
You could have used "John Wall Jig" for two points. You're friends need to visit the blog more often.
Bring back the Bullets.
Yeah especially after the Arenas Incident last year.
That would be on par with the Trail Blazers actually changing their jerseys to say "Jail Blazers" about ten years ago.
What pick to the Pistons have in the first round?
the Pistons need a PG and move Stuckey to SG. That would require trading Rip Hamilton since no one would want to take on Ben Gordon's contract, and Dumars loves Stuckey. Since John Wall is gone, Eric Bledsoe would be a logical option though he would be a reach however (with the exception of Wall, Cousins and Favors), there aren't many players who wouldn't be a great player so the Pistons might as well take a player with potential in Bledsoe.
If they opt not to take a PG, they need help at PF/C. Cousins and Favors would be a logical pick if they are available at #7. Otherwise, Cole Aldrich and Ed Davis may be the pick. I'm not real excited about either of them. Aminu wouldn't make sense since the Pistons already drafted Daye and Summers to play SF.
The problem is that nobody wants Hamilton's contract either. There's almost no way they'll be able to trade him without eating a major portion of it.
And PLEASE don't take DeMarcus Cousins. Red flags galore with him. Thankfully he probably won't be there at 7. Favors would be great.
I was starting to think I was the only person on this thread that didn't want Demarcus Cousins. Honestly, I wasn't ever that impressed by him at Kentucky given all the hype. I don't feel like he will amount to much in the NBA. Obviously, I could be wrong, and with my limited basketball knowledge, I probably am. That said, the Pistons need help at PG and PF/C. There seem to be a lot of big men that should be on the board at number 7. Cole Aldrich could be there, and he's a smart player. Ed Davis has a ton of potential and room to improve. Him and Ekpe Udoh both need to add some weight. Ekpe wouldn't be a bad choice, and even guys like Aminu and Monroe. I'm guessing Dumars pulls the trigger on one of the big men, unless somebody makes a miraculous slide (John Wall?).
The Pistons need help in the paint way more than they need anything else. Stuckey's not a great PG, but he's good enough for now. Defintely a better option at PG than anything they have at PF or C. Outside of duct taping a couple of the super skinny SF's Joe D has had a hardon for in the past 2-3 drafts together to create one halfway decent big man, they have absolutely nothing down low.
Once I heard the words "Derrick Coleman" associated with Cousins, that was enough for me. Not to mention the fact that a lot of his output was a direct effect of Wall and Bledsoe's ability to get in the lane. I didn't find him to be all that impressive at all.
I'd hope Favors is there because he looks like an Amare Stoudemire/Blake Griffin type of player and if not him than Monroe because he is an excellent passer out of the post and that could also work for us. We definitely have to go big though. There is literally zero chance that Wall will be available and I'd be shocked if Washington didn't take him.
shit
There goes the Nets opportunity to get LeBron.
I actually wouldn't mind seeing the Pistons take Ekpe Udoh at #7. However, if Greg Monroe is somehow still available, I think he would be the obvious choice.
Definitely would rather have Monroe than Udoh.
Should be the pick, if the Pistons are actually going to address an area of need.
I had a good feeling about this year's draft. So happy.
...at the end of the season are amongst the dumbest things in sports. You've sucked for 70+ games, way to turn it on when things no longer matter and winning no longer accomplishes anything.
The pick is clearly Donatas Motiejunas, because Dumars has a hugely successful history of drafting white centers from Europe.
I'm not a hardcore Nets fan. Just casual. Though it would have been nice to have seen them land Wall. Putting him with Devin Harris and Brooke Lopez would have been a nice young core that could have enticed Lebron. that could have been an excellent team for a long time. Eh, oh well.
Wesley. Johnson.
Andy Rautins in the 2nd?
I bet we wish we could go back and draft Carmelo in 2003, eh?
Allen Iverson.
Would love Favors or Cousins (even with issues. The guy has the size, talent and potential to get even better).
They will both be gone by the time the Pistons pick though. Wall (obviously), Favors, Cousins and Turner will all be taken for sure.
I want the Pistons to take Greg Monroe if he is still there. He's a big who will fill a position of need. He may be the most all-around skilled big man in the draft and he's a lefty big who has the passing skills and court awareness of a PG. Love that the offense ran through him at Georgetown. His only crticisms are basically that "he didn't take over games", but that is more a function of the Princeton style, team oriented offense that didn't necessarily highlight any one player.
IMO, he is the best player left for the Pistons to take after the other 5 are gone.
I like Wes Johnson too. Only knock is he is at a position where we have enough people. However, if Monroe is gone and Johnson is there, you take him.
I just read an interesting article mentioning that Washington has a ton of room under the cap this summer....something I didn't have any idea was the case. I'm not a HUGE Wall fan but he seems like the type of player that would thrive with LeBron. If Arenas still has some left in the tank, Washington becomes a dark horse destination for a top FA, maybe a Nowitzki (if he opts out) or Bosh. Pure speculation but Wall/Arenas is a pretty solid combo.
Because the sports god's hate us. I will react exactly like I did when the Bronco's drafted Tebow, which went like this.
"oh god they traded up, don't take Tebow, don't take Tebow, don't take Tebow....FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"
*commence drinking a very large long island iced tea*
I will puke if they pick Aldrich.
Assuming Favors and Cousins are gone. The Lithuanian in me wants Motiejunas, but I want him to succeed.
has the Pistons taking Hassan Whiteside. I would be so pissed!

If Wesley Johnson was really there, I can't imagine them passing on him....he's too talented. You never know though.
My top 7 (for the Pistons)would be..
- Wall
- Cousins
- Favors
- Johnson
- Turner
- Monroe
- Aminu
- Davis
- Bledsoe
Added a few in case they trade down. DO NOT DRAFT LIST...
- Aldrich
- Whiteside
- Hayward
damn you anger pistons hating god....
Via ESPN insider: wizards winning ping pong ball combo was 8-7-11-4....the pistons owned 8-7-11-6(!!!!!!!!!!!!!) one ping pong ball from 7th to 1st
Or a late fourth quarter comeback in the last game from having #2....
Damn.
i know....i wasn't thinking before the lottery. . ."i swear to god if the 76ers get in the top 3 and we don't i be pissed" and that happened...and i just thought great way to play for the last few games and care when you had no reason to...
