Are you spamming us to get people to check out your website?
January 19th, 2018 at 6:30 PM ^
What is happening here
January 19th, 2018 at 6:31 PM ^
I don't have any association with any of these websites in any way. Not spamming. Legitimately thought people might like to see these here since it is a Friday and people might not know about these things (such as the subgenre).
I miss college football

Did you see this on the front page of reddit?
January 19th, 2018 at 7:39 PM ^
I saw one of them on the front page today. I had been thinking of a post on sports documentaries and then just, eh, I'll post the search engines I know about
January 19th, 2018 at 6:33 PM ^
I changed the title to Drinking Thread which seems to be a tradition around here and hopefully it calms the people who don't see that I was trying to add value here
January 19th, 2018 at 7:26 PM ^
I...fucking...LOVE YOU!!! SEARCHABLE NETFLIX LIST!!!!
I was just complaining to someone last night about the problem of looking for titles outside the damn algorithm...and here you are. Upvotes for all your posts. Rock on!
January 19th, 2018 at 7:40 PM ^
That's what I'm talking about!
January 19th, 2018 at 6:36 PM ^
Some people just need to drink up and be happy.

Started watching The Frozen Dead (French) earlier this week. Also the Unabomber....both pretty good I think. Godless was a great little limited series. I'm a fan of Halt and Catch Fire and have been catching up on it as well (don't have cable so I'm way behind, finishing season 3).
Can't wait to crack into Broadchurch season 3. Going to finish these things first (as well as Game of Thrones season 7).
ALSO ALSO...I watched A Most Violent Year recently on Blu-ray and really enjoyed it. Oscar Isaac was great at that role. Looking forward to seeing more of him in dramatic/suspense roles in the future (Inside Llewyn Davis was really good ). How he hasn't completely blown up yet is ridiculous to me!

I just finished Mind Hunter the other week. I thought it was good and will definitely watch the second season.
January 19th, 2018 at 6:51 PM ^
Yes! This was a good one. I really enjoyed it. A cool glimpse (albeit fictional) look at how all of that developed back then...and how difficult it was to get people to buy into. The Unabomber show I'm watching is similar in this regard.
January 19th, 2018 at 6:52 PM ^
agree. wish the second season would arrive soon.
January 19th, 2018 at 6:45 PM ^
Variety pack! citradelic, fat tire, a Belgian wheat, and voodoo

I enjoyed Mindhunter

NOT about Penn State. A British cop show centered on a fiftyish woman police sergeant in a relatively small town in the midlands. Great writing and Sarah Lancashire in the lead role is something else. 12 episode commitment. IMO the best cop show ever.
January 19th, 2018 at 7:58 PM ^
Absolutely agree, it's great. I've reccomended it to my friends. Another great show: "Rectified". Truly one of my favorite ever!
January 20th, 2018 at 8:40 AM ^
The show treats its characters with such dignity. Ray MacKinnon (the reverend on Deadwood). Is one hell of a writer.
January 19th, 2018 at 8:42 PM ^
You should check him out in Grantchester too. One of my favorite actors.

The West Wing. I'm 15 years late to the party, but I love it.
January 19th, 2018 at 6:57 PM ^
You should check out this show called M*A*S*H! Crazy good!
haha just razzin'

Watching season 2 of Fargo right now on Hulu. Probably my favorite show since True Detective season 1.
January 19th, 2018 at 7:02 PM ^
Season 2 is so awesome. Great choice.
January 19th, 2018 at 7:01 PM ^
Death By Coconut - It’s the cats pajamas aka awesome.
Netflix - I have been watching Narcos.
Best show on TV now in my opinion...Vikings.
Cheers, Go Blue!

January 19th, 2018 at 7:10 PM ^

Just saw a tweet from Fox Sports showing A Rod giving a pregame talk to the MSU BB team.
What possible connection - aside from a shared steroid supplier - could A Rod have with MSU?
Bonus Twitter note - Proud MSU honorary captain “the Situation” indicted on tax evasion today....

Ozark, Broadchurch, Marcella, Luther, Godless, are a few I watched recently. If you have Amazon Prime - The Tunnel, Line of Duty, Tennison, are few good ones. I like PBS series, very good writing and acting.

Drink: "superfluid" by shorts...a delicious double American IPA, but 9% so gotta sip slow
Netflix: just watched "my next guest" by David letterman. The only episode currently out is his interview of obama. I found it to be very good
January 19th, 2018 at 7:11 PM ^
I've got a Bell's Porter with some Bulleit Rye on deck for later.
As far as shows go, I will also vouch for Mind Hunter. Ozark was excellent as well.
I'll take a look at the tools provided by the OP - thanks for sharing - cinesift seems like something that might save me some wasted time...

Tampa, FL - drinking their Trippel called Unholy which is definitely one of my favorite beers. Hopefully it’s not for another Outback Bowl, but if any of you are ever down this way I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

I am just about to finish season 2 of The Crown. Very solid show .

I don't give a shit if he is trying to promote his own website, this is good stuff. Thank you, OP. Ignore the haters and curmudgeons.

Just watched American Vandal on Netflix. Got drawn in by the dick jokes and Serial spoof, ended up scared for my kids when they get to high school.
January 19th, 2018 at 8:29 PM ^
Omg that fucking show was hilarious! I loved every minute.
The stick figures doing HJs in one of the last episodes when they were trying to see if anyone else could've from, multiple viewpoints, seen what was going on on the dock was amazing. Cleverly funny!
January 19th, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
with my daughters, who are binge watching the new season of Just Add Magic.
White Russians, take me away....
January 19th, 2018 at 9:24 PM ^

Hopslam. I was walking out of the grocery store without anything in hand, and the clerk asked me if I was there to buy Hopslam and that I must've missed it because they were keeping it in the back. I said sure cause I didn't want to tell him I was just there to go pee.

High quality H2O

Very good, if romanticized depiction of Queen Victoria. Not quite as good as The Crown, but well acted in general. Jenna Coleman is much too beautiful to play Victoria.
January 19th, 2018 at 8:51 PM ^
Drinking Founders breakfast stout, started with 8 and I’m down to 6. If anyone plays CoD WW2 on PS4 add me GT: D-Hiatt

I'm doing both the Netflix thing and the drinking thing.
After having exhausted most of the recommended Netflix fare, including Black Mirror, Stranger Things, Ozark, Peaky Blinders and Mindhunter, I found two interesting shows recently in Dark, and Broadchurch.
Anyone else dig either of those?
Oh, and I'm enjoying some Three Floyds Gumballhead tonight -- one of my favorites.
Cheers!
