This likely has something to do with Friday's delaying his announcement that was scheduled for this weekend.

After meeting with OSU and hearing about Partridge leaving he decided to announce this weekend, then with some more discussions with Michigan he decided to hold off until Wednesday. Now at the end of the weekend Partridge is staying. This is good. Hopefully good enough for Tyler Friday too.

Honestly, most coaches in New Jersey still apparently hold a grudge against Chris Partridge.

When Partridge was at Paramus Catholics he was accused of "recruiting" other high schools' players, which is not allowed under New Jersey's high school athletics rules (i.e. Rashan GaryMinkah Fitzpatrick).

I didn't follow the story super closely, but IIRC, the investigation was unable to conclude if CP contacted the athletes first, or if the athletes contacted CP first, but it was suspicious that Paramus Catholic's program had like 30-40 players transfer onto the football team during his time there.

Hell yeah! This is awesomeness news. Made my week. Someone has done a masterful recruiting job on him because just a few days ago he was tending towards a rival big time. I suspect Partridge worked the magic on him

Now with the defensive staff all set with no question marks, I’m dying to know the next moves for the offensive staff. With both Drevno and Pep out in full force on the recruiting trail, it definitely makes me wonder.
