It's not a great job, but it's not terrible.  Here are Arizona's records over the last 10 years:

2008 - 8-5 (5-4 conf.)

2009 - 8-5 (6-3)

2010 - 7-6 (4-5)

2011 - 4-8 (2-6)

2012 - 8-5 (4-5)

2013 - 8-5 (4-5)

2014 - 10-4 (7-2)

2015 - 7-6 (3-6)

2016 - 3-9 (1-8)

2017 - 7-6 (5-4)

That's with Mike Stoops and Rich Rodriguez coaching them.  If Sumlin's an upgrade over those two (probably, I would say), he can do OK.

Not a ton of change to scheme so Sumlin shouldn't need a ton of time to get 'his' guys, plus Sumlin is probably a better spread coach than Richrod. Richrod peaked in like 2006-2007 and everyone's been innovating past him since
