Men of March- John Beilein
Great documentary on John Beilein that aired last week. More praise for one of the most underrated coaches in America. HAIL BEILEIN!! GO BLUE!!

I admit I have been a little hard at times on Beilein but watching this to go with today’s game has me feeling damn good about him being our coach

It will be a sad day when John Beilein retires. Let's hope he decides to coach beyond the end of his contract in 2020-21 season.

and not just for us. He's good for college basketball. Wins clean and wins often. College hoops will lose a GREAT one when he leaves

Coach Belein is widely regarded as one of the hardest working and intelligent coaches in America. He is well known for running a very clean program and treating players, coaches and referrees with respect. Yet the refs always seem to screw the team over every time they hit the court.

who is more deserving of a National Championship than him? Can't wait for it to happen!

He should have one but that cheating ass Louisville took it from him

I knew it wasn’t going to end well for us going into the final. You just knew they wanted to get that kid his “one shining moment”. Pitino was still a darling at that time too.

It may not happen but regardless I think he has already earned the title of greatest basketball coach at Michigan. He took this program from the dark ages and turned it into a consistent winner and most importantly turned it into a clean program.

In fairness, Tommy Amaker had cleaned up the program off the court. But Beilein made it successful on it, too.

I'll agree with this. You can chastise Amaker for not being very good at on-court stuff, but the man was beyond reproach off the court. He was exactly what Michigan needed at the time - squeaky clean enough that everyone knew it, extremely respected due to his coach K pedigree, and a great family guy. He took the program at the lowest point in its existence and made it respectable enough that people forgot about the sanctions (for the most part). Hiring that guy was the next best move after Tom Goss was relieved of duty.
(Getting rid of Ellerbe goes hand in hand with hiring Amaker. Ellerbe... Ugh.)

I’ve been hard on Beliein, even at one point thought we should move on from him, but at the end of the day, there is no one I’d rather have coaching Michigan basketball

If I had a son, I would want him to play for JB.

Makes me proud to call him our coach. Today's result was just icing on the cake.

Excellent special. Shows the character of our coach. He is second to none.

Beilein is a damn treasure.

Best men’s coach currently at Michigan

This video reminds me of the ones shown during the NC run in 2013. I really believe we have the two best coaches Michigan can possibly have right now with Harbaugh and Beilein.

God I love him. Also doesn't this seem like an extensive subtweet of the Pitinos and Caliparis of the world at times?
January 13th, 2018 at 11:10 PM ^
several Michigan fans wanted him gone 2 years ago despite the fact he won B1G, took them to F4, multiple S16, multiple NCAA tourney appearances.

I think the calls got loudest in Nov - Dec 2016, which is barely more than one year. And though they were more muted, there were still calls for his firing earlier this season. Bozos, all of them.

to be a Michigan Wolverine.

That was awesome! Glad I watched it - and thanks for posting it! I didn't even know this existed...
BTW, I love his house!

Great show! I've watched it twice already! The guy is absolutely class!

This guy is a legend...I too was off my rocker thinking we needed a shakeup during last season’s struggles. However, I can admit I was horribly wrong! If Beilein keeps winning at this rate and grabs that elusive National title. I think he is a lock Naismith Hall of Famer! Guy does it the right way and more importantly is excellent at his craft. He will have his name in the rafters at Crisler and the court should be dedicated to him once his time is up here.
