Amazon Doc release date?

I cannot find the release date ANYWHERE and this was the last resort to see if someone knew...

I know it's "sometime in January."

I need something other than recruiting whiffs and coaching changes to occupy my time lol

Sure, but it's already a third of the way through January, which makes me think that it's not dropping in January.

One of my favorite things about this board is the diversity of knowledge of the posters (not the shitty ones that account for a growing number of the posts here).  Since it seems like the date might be slipping, it's entirely reasonable to think that somebody with connections in the AD might have heard something.

I'm looking forward to people watching this and then deciding that it was somehow the reason our team lost some football games. That should be a fun and rational discussion.

to watching to see if things are addressed on camera. ie - The tackle position, The QB battle, offensive play calling and philosophy, and how the intensity was prior to the MSU, Penn St, and OSU games. Not sure if they will be that transparent, but one can wish. But, yeah, I'm watching. Hell, I watched the FSU and Navy thing on Showtime, I watch the other ones on Amazon and I watch Hard Knocks on HBO, so yeah, I'll watch.

All indications are this is more "watch these people/personalities as they go through the highs and lows of a challenging year" than a documentary that critiques the season. It's a question of focus rather than transparency to me.

I'll watch to get to know these guys and learn more about the squad. You learn the most about people as they go through adversity so it could be a compelling watch a la the Cardinals year on Amazon.

$20 whiny stuff on this board makes the show.

Yea our season sucked, but as a die hard Michigan fan I can't wait for it to come out. Why wouldnt you want to see behind the scenes of our team? This place grasps at straws for inside information and how things are run in the program...well this is the best shot at getting a glimpse of things

I am looking forward to this. If it's anything like the documentary "A Season With" on Showtime, it will be a great look behind the scenes at the coaching staff. Also since this is airing after the season, I am hoping they will show some of the coaches meetings where they devise game strategy.

Listen, guys. The show isn't for fans of Michigan or especially Mgoblog, though Amazon is hoping that there are Michigan fans enough to watch it.

This show is going to be watched by every high school football playing guy who wants to be anything football. It's an inside scoop to a power five well known program, as if seen from someone on the team. High school kids are the real market as they are your main streaming consumers.

As far as the decision to allow filming, don't forget the university gets the final say in what goes in and doesn't go in. Also of interest, the contract was agreed to once it was clear that this would be a rebuilding year. I see this as the first season in a two part series. If Michigan edits it correctly, this could restore the Michigan difference/credibility to a lot of young recruits thinking about the program vs OSU/Georgia/Bama/Clemson. Branding 101.
