Many of us will miss the space program as we knew it.  The innovation and advances in technology the program has fostered has touched each of us, whether we realize it or not.

I just got back from watching the launch from Titusville, one of the more impressive things I have ever seen. Any one that has the opportunity to see one of the last launches should do so.

I saw one in Cocoa Beach in November, and it was amazing.  I'm not really a space nerd (my dad is, which is why we went), but it was absolutely spectacular.  Also it made me feel really patriotic.

If you're anywhere on the east coast of FL when they do the night launches, you can see them if you go outside too ... also really cool.

But I was in Palm Beach and if you stand on the beach you can see the launch which I thought was cool since it was over 100 miles away. I also saw a night launch from my place which is pretty cool as well. I was in Titusville once for work that is the town across from the cape right? If not I was in the town right across from the Cape and saw the shuttle on the Pad.

Hearing about the shuttle launch makes me miss living in Florida even more now, I made the bonehead move of transfering to Philly last fall which after a crazy truck driver tried to kill me today on I-76 I really think its time to move back to Florida.lol

Word to the wise don't hang the finger to a guy driving a big rig after he wouldn't let you merge onto a highway because that will get you sideswiped.
