A&M is spending as much money as they can to try and win a National Championship. I know they have the resources and that is the goal, but I just can't see them winning it all.
They have not won a NC since 1939. They really haven't been in position to be considered for one since...1939? Even the years they finished with one or none loses under Bear Bryant & RC Slocum they were ranked no higher than 5th at the end of the year.
So what happens when after 5-7 years Jimbo gets them close, but no cigar?

At a minimum now, they'll be split the spotlight between Harbaugh and Fisher. It's ridiculous that when it takes 2-3 years to recruit elite players, then 2-3 more to develop them into major contributors and Harbaugh didn't have a real 2015 class that it's this obsession by the dullards and the uninformed who don't grasp that you can't turn a dumpster fire into a winning program in two years. But that is what the media is. And there are lots of haters out there who love it.

just because he was asking about recruits doesn't mean he wasn't already talking to A&M or even negotiating his deal with them. nothing's a done deal until an offer has been accepted.
