Outback Bowl: What do you hope to see?
December 30th, 2017 at 12:48 PM ^
More points for UM than USC
December 30th, 2017 at 2:02 PM ^
Going to be super greedy and would like to see more than 1 offensive holding on USC against our front 7. Surley non-conference refs aren't in on it.
December 30th, 2017 at 2:21 PM ^
Well, osu already got more pts than usc, so I'm rooting for more pts than S. Carolina!
Seriously, usc is the school of OJ & Bush, not the Game Cocks
December 30th, 2017 at 3:38 PM ^
I understand it's pretty common to refer to the GameCocks as USC. On a side note, do youngins even know about the 'Mason Dixon line'?
December 30th, 2017 at 7:07 PM ^
against William & Mary?
December 30th, 2017 at 12:49 PM ^
Some forward passes not being overthrown by 20 yards and oline pass protecting.
December 30th, 2017 at 12:50 PM ^
A win for the University of Michigan football team.
December 30th, 2017 at 12:52 PM ^
- Higdon gets over 70 yards, netting him 1K for the season.
- Peters throws for 2 TDs, with no interceptions.
- Defense has at least four sacks
- Defense causes two turnovers.
- Michigan keeps SC under 20 total points.
December 30th, 2017 at 1:41 PM ^
If SC scores more than 20 everyone on the defensive staff needs to be fired on the spot. SC has an absolutely terrible offense.
December 30th, 2017 at 2:26 PM ^
But, but... what if they score on ST or D returns - can Don Brown keep his job then?!
December 30th, 2017 at 8:26 PM ^
Reluctantly, very reluctantly.
December 30th, 2017 at 2:28 PM ^
So you would have fired them all after the IU game? IU is ranked lower in offense and managed 20 points. This seems like a completely rational take.
December 30th, 2017 at 5:33 PM ^
20 is not "more than 20"
December 30th, 2017 at 8:06 PM ^
Thanks for doing the math on that. The point stands though that if a crappier IU team scores 20 and a slightly less crappy South Carolina scores 21, you’d advocate for the entire defensive staff to be fired? I’ll hang up and listen.
December 30th, 2017 at 8:35 PM ^
Sorry can't embed I'm on mobile.
December 30th, 2017 at 12:52 PM ^
Uncontrollable annihilation!!!
December 30th, 2017 at 12:54 PM ^
Unconditional surrender.
December 30th, 2017 at 12:53 PM ^
The UM defense give up less points than SC's defense.
Also, a topless streaker.
December 30th, 2017 at 1:15 PM ^
Male or female?
December 30th, 2017 at 2:30 PM ^
Probably get more chicks if we took our shirts off.
December 30th, 2017 at 12:53 PM ^
Now that I live in Columbia, SC I would like to win by atleast 13 points so I can run my mouth to the Cock fans at work.
December 30th, 2017 at 12:58 PM ^
"run my mouth to the cock"
December 30th, 2017 at 6:00 PM ^
You forgot "fans", as clearly he was implying that this is not the sole preferred method of delivery at work.
In all seriousness, and to answer the OP's question, a solid, consistent performance on both sides of the ball would be nice in addition to the win.
December 30th, 2017 at 1:23 PM ^
I would enjoy the same here in Columbia.
December 30th, 2017 at 1:54 PM ^
Completly different party if you don't start that with, "Now that I live in Columbia, SC...".
December 30th, 2017 at 12:53 PM ^
An ass-kicking by our boys
December 30th, 2017 at 12:55 PM ^
I want to see a dominating 4 quarter execution of the sec. this game is huge for so many reasons. I want to see peters look like he's got it down. I want to see aggression, aggression, aggression from the defense and would love to see higdon go ham. also, dpj, I need to say no more about him. beast.
December 30th, 2017 at 12:55 PM ^
I want to see Michigan win the game with zero major injuries to either team.
December 30th, 2017 at 12:56 PM ^
rending their garments in anguish.
December 30th, 2017 at 5:24 PM ^
and gnashing of teeth (for those that have more than 1 tooth).
December 30th, 2017 at 12:57 PM ^
Passing with much better pocket presence and hopefully not running for his life every other down.
December 30th, 2017 at 12:58 PM ^
I want to see a 2016 capital one bowl - like - performance.
December 30th, 2017 at 2:11 PM ^
We lost the 2016 capital one orange bowl, so, yeah no thanks.
December 30th, 2017 at 2:14 PM ^
If Michigan plays like they did in that bowl they'll win by 30.
December 30th, 2017 at 2:41 PM ^
actually my mistake, meant the 2016 citrus bowl
December 30th, 2017 at 12:59 PM ^
A cohesive offensive game plan followed up by crisp execution of said gameplan. The Oline bowing holes for RBs and giving the QBs at least 4 solid seconds of time to read the field and make the throw. Finally, to see our QBs hitting targets on time and in rythm.
Is that too much to ask?
December 30th, 2017 at 1:43 PM ^
So basically what Michigan would have done against OSU with Peters?
December 30th, 2017 at 1:03 PM ^
And submission
December 30th, 2017 at 1:04 PM ^
A Michigan win that silences everyone.
December 30th, 2017 at 1:30 PM ^
But I don't think this game will be an easy one for Michigan.
December 30th, 2017 at 1:48 PM ^
Michigan could win 100-0 and it won't silence 75% of people.
December 30th, 2017 at 2:51 PM ^
Fire Beilein
December 30th, 2017 at 2:25 PM ^
So you hope they win a conference championship at this Outback Bowl?
December 30th, 2017 at 2:41 PM ^
a win against Ohio State. Followed by a win in the Big Ten Championship game.
Beating South Carolina in a third tier bowl after an 8-4 season won't do it.
December 30th, 2017 at 5:12 PM ^
Not sure you are going to get that in a meaningless bowl game. I def hope they win, but no one will care 12 hours later.
December 30th, 2017 at 1:08 PM ^
As Eminem once said "a good old fashioned passionate ass whippin'"
December 30th, 2017 at 1:11 PM ^
While watching the game on ESPN2 ,i hope to see the "bottom line" ticker read:
" Urban Meyer retires from Ohio St" scrolling in big red letters, every 2-3 minutes
