1. Great catch by DPJ but questionable technique by the CB. (Notice the CB trying to grab DPJ after DPJ gets past him near the LOS).

2. Kind of amazing that Tarik Black is (or at least was) better than DPJ in fall camp.

3. I doubt anyone else remembers this but Amara Darboh had a OBJ-esque catch in the same corner before OBJ's catch. Devin Gardner shared it on instagram (back when Instagram was still independent and becoming rapidly popular) and called it the "greatest catch he had ever seen." (Like I mentioned, OBJ's catch against Dallas hadn't happened yet so no one had that as a frame of reference.) I wonder if Gardner still has a clip of that player. I'm confident we have it somewhere in our practice tape archives.

2 isn’t that amazing. I mean DPJ came in EXTREMELY raw. He came from a high school where they had two different routes to run. So in addition to the traditional nuances of the high school-college transition (classes, speed adjustment, blocking, learning the playbook, playing against better talent) DPJ also has to completely be taught how to properly run routes, and then learn to do it at a college level. By all accounts, Black was coming in MUCH more polished and college ready. Him being ahead of DPJ coming out of fall camp wasn’t surprising at all.

I think it’s very likely he makes tremendous strides in performance and intensity next season. With Black back as well, we’re gonna have one heck of a dual threat for receivers. Go Blue!!

If Black gets faster, lights fricking out baby. He'll need to be doubled all over the field. He could be better than Braylon. DPJ is just a freak athlete all around but I don't think he can go up in the air and pull down balls as coordinated/smooth like Black can on routes down the field. Cant wait to watch these two improve though.

The data at the top of the screen says "QB: 8"... That's O'Korn.  Is DPJ on the 2nd team offense?  Is JOK with the 1's?  Or do the QBs and WRs not rotate together?

He’s going to be a good one. If Peters or Patterson can just hit him in stride or put the ball in his general area, you can let his athleticism take over after that.

DPJ and Black are going to be something special and Aubrey Solomon is going to be something too.  Broke in the rotation as a freshman with our Dline? Wow.

I'll try to describe it for those that do not have Twitter: EDIT: Or scroll down to see LSA's embedded video. Looks like a corner route. DPJ is slanting to the left sideline, and when he looks back over his left shoulder the ball is there, albeit high and behind him. What happens over the next quarter-of-a-second is bonkers. In one fluid motion, DPJ insta-hops up and snatches the ball with just his RIGHT hand and cradles it like a baby. His body-- still flying through the air-- does a full 360 rotation and instead of falling hard, he does a parkour somersault, which ends with him standing on his own two feet as if nothing happened. What do you guys see?
