Always fun to see who got what awards. Most are pretty obvious but seeing McCaffery as Scout Team player of the year is a very good sign. Also, is anyone wiling to bet against Ben Mason being a 4 time champ of the Toughness Award? I'm definently not.

So whats up with that ole miss transfer Deonte Anderson? I read that his grades might not be up to par for michigan standards. Can anyone confirm? Updates?

Slow-playing Anderson a bit to hold out for the 5-Star kid from Louisiana?

Absolutely no inside info but spots are going to be tight if that Ath from GA signs and we are still holding spots for Tyler Friday and Petite-Frere and probably that ASU OT decommit.

I'm not so sure about that. Anderson is proven and legit, and just as highly touted coming out of high school. I think the staff knows that adding his talent and experience to the secondary would be huge. Imagine him and khaleke on the same field... my oh my

cool to see all 3 DL recognized and awarded bc while hurst proved to be 1 of countrys top overall players, all 3 played well and did their thing.

happy for higdon, he earned it.

decent chance most improved on O came down to 2 TEs with gentry topping mckeon - both improved big time since last year (so did hidgon and others but they prob like to spread out awards when possible - ie hurst not also winning DL).

lavert hill improved as much as anyone but he didnt play much last year so maybe thats a factor.

ben mason will be fun to watch next few years - he may KO someone, or himself, with the way he covers kicks and smashes wedges.  had a feeling id dig masons style when i saw his signing day interview

Wow. With that GPA and him getting PT this season, I can see a line like this next year:
LT: Bredeson
LG: Ruiz
C: Spanellis
RG: Onwenu
RT: JBB

That's five returning guys with playing experience and 4 returning starters. That line can get us a lot of rushing yards. If one of the redshirt tackles steps up and takes JBB's job, the line could be even better.

He is not the prototypical LT, but that might be the way to get our five most experienced guys on the field. I will be watching the spring game very closely to see how the redshirted linemen perform. That, and QB are the two biggest questions (not in a bad way) going into next season. I guess who replaces McCray is another.

Pretty sure Bredeson was all guard, but just has some athletic ability to move if needed.  But with Hudson (who I expect to be LT), and the others, I don't think he will.  My money is on him staying at LG.
