OT: faalele to the gophers

I love the fact that him and Vic are going to be on the same team in our conference. It makes me feel awkwardly excited and nervous...kinda like when I touched my first boob.

Maybe I'm alone with my opinion, but I think PJ Fleck is such a clown. I think his sideline antics and quotes he puts out are such a gimmick. I won't feel bad for him when he flops in Minnesota.
December 9th, 2017 at 11:07 PM ^
I really don't think it's a gimmick at all. hes got that little man energy to him
December 9th, 2017 at 11:33 PM ^
a new account!
December 10th, 2017 at 12:18 AM ^
You could make the same comment about Harbaugh, except Harbaugh now has a proven track record. I expect Fleck to make it work, his gimmick is selling to good recruits.
December 10th, 2017 at 12:39 AM ^
I would call him a used car salesman but that would be giving used car salesmen a bad name. He fits in perfectly with little Ricky Pitino.
PJ and little Ricky, twins in the twin cities. Fitting.

they aren't even going to a bowl game
December 10th, 2017 at 6:19 AM ^
I remember when he was on Cheers. He always beat Sam in the annual bloody-mary contest and was a boastful irritant even back then.
December 10th, 2017 at 11:36 AM ^
LOL! Those were some of the best episodes in a great series. Fleck should have stuck with that. Totally agree.
December 10th, 2017 at 12:55 PM ^
PJ is a SALESMAN. He gets kids to buy in. Lots of guys know X’s and O’s but not everyone can get kids to “run through a wall”. PJ can.
Do I think he’s a bit of a tool? Yes.
Seems a little metro to me too. Not that there is anything wrong with that but...just sayin’...
December 10th, 2017 at 12:25 AM ^
He and his running from one side of the field to the other are also obnoxious.
December 9th, 2017 at 10:25 PM ^
You grab that boob and it's like a nice bag of sand
December 9th, 2017 at 10:32 PM ^
Whoever downvoted this is an uncultured swine with no appreciation for fine cinema.

Macramé-ing some jean shorts, while listening to Coldplay.

Let’s go with “Scenes They Could Never Film Today” for $1000, Alex.
December 10th, 2017 at 10:30 AM ^
I agree with you. And that movie is only 12 years old.
December 10th, 2017 at 1:10 PM ^
could make that scene today
December 11th, 2017 at 10:57 AM ^
I highly doubt they would. They would get crushed.
December 10th, 2017 at 5:16 AM ^
I logged in specifically to give it an upvote!

Yup. My second favorite Big Ten team. Northwesten in the conversation.
December 10th, 2017 at 12:42 AM ^
...and I still hear Yakety Sax in my head every time I see them play.
December 10th, 2017 at 1:05 AM ^
Mountains and Boats do not mesh well. This ends poorly.
December 10th, 2017 at 5:39 AM ^
Tallest mountain in Minnesota since Kevin McHale.
December 10th, 2017 at 2:38 AM ^
Boobs are wonderful.
December 10th, 2017 at 10:44 AM ^
Vic and he*
December 10th, 2017 at 1:29 PM ^
The only thing I felt, touching my first boob was, I knew I wasn't going to need viagra in my lifetime.
December 10th, 2017 at 2:52 PM ^
So you thought you were going to die shortly thereafter? That's a helluva boob.
December 11th, 2017 at 10:38 AM ^
checks out
December 9th, 2017 at 10:19 PM ^
Like Frey and Drevno are chasing different types of offensive linemen
December 9th, 2017 at 10:23 PM ^
Or maybe we are now just looking for guys over whose shoulders Shea Patterson can actually see...
December 9th, 2017 at 10:30 PM ^
he ended up at Minnesota after getting looks by Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, and Auburn should tell you about his ability and his projections after coaches were gathering more evidence on him
December 9th, 2017 at 10:33 PM ^
I would have preferred that he not go to a conference rival - even if the staff had cooled on him.
December 10th, 2017 at 12:01 AM ^
Take it from someone who has religiously attended every Michigan game played in Minnesota since I moved here in 2009 (that is, two): we don't play Minnesota enough to worry about him much.
December 10th, 2017 at 1:15 AM ^
He didn't go to a conference rival. He went to Minnesota.
December 10th, 2017 at 5:35 PM ^
Whereas, had he gone to Illinois...
December 10th, 2017 at 4:31 AM ^
He's a major project. Just noted here that he was widely considered the worst OL at IMG (not just Seniors/starters). He's so big they rightly assumed he's swallow up most opponent DL but scouts don't like his chances against major D1 talent. A solid project commit for any team, tbh.
December 10th, 2017 at 6:03 AM ^
Are. His offer list wasn't impressive.
December 9th, 2017 at 10:22 PM ^
Do they make boats large enough for him to row?
December 9th, 2017 at 10:34 PM ^
Would an average-sized rowboat support him without capsizing?
It bothers me that you're not answering the question.
December 9th, 2017 at 10:51 PM ^
Apparently he was too big for our submarine
December 9th, 2017 at 11:40 PM ^
PJ will need to be rowing one of these to get him to fit.....
December 10th, 2017 at 8:49 AM ^
That is literally true. Literally!
December 9th, 2017 at 10:29 PM ^
obviously he's huge, but watching film my impression was he had really slow feet. which is understandable when you weigh 400.
December 10th, 2017 at 12:59 AM ^
Would love to watch him try and block Gary one on one, but Villain will run around this guy like he is standing still. I guess they could try him at guard but they better have a really tall qb.
Fleck annoys the hell out of me and really don't see Minnesota doing much more than usual. The teams killing it in recruiting are the same three as usual.
December 10th, 2017 at 9:04 AM ^
The dude has elite size and elite strength, so why is he going to Minnesota? Probably not because he's uncoachable. It's probably because he's slow. I bet if he latches on to a DE, he's going to deposit them somewhere 10 miles outside the stadium, but I also bet quick DEs are going to get around him like he's not there
December 9th, 2017 at 10:31 PM ^
With that offer list, he chose Minnesota? Must have been a lot of non-committal offers.
December 9th, 2017 at 10:31 PM ^
Some idiots on the Michigan recruiting Facebook group are saying Fleck is out-recruiting Harbaugh bc of Vic and big Daniel. When did our fan base get infiltrated by an endless number of trolls?
