Sam has a Gut Feeling on a Commitment from Shea Patterson, it Seems
It appears Sam's gut is telling him not only of a visit, but of an impending commitment. https://twitter.com/SamWebb77/status/938939068930560000

Great news. We owe it to the guys on defense who have been busting their butts for years to put a quality offense on the field. Next season will be fun.

Yeah man, don't want to be pedantic or anything, but this morning Sam's gut told him we'd have three athletes visit, not seven, as was being reported elsewhere.
The reference to the above gut feeling is indeed for Shea to head here as a player, not just for a visit this weekend.
Anyway, cheers, this is good news.

including Brandon Justice at the Wolverine Lounge that made it seem like Patterson (and likely Jefferson and Anderson) was pretty much a done deal.
If the reports are true, Mgoblog will soon be looking like this:

I think the old adgae goes, "If it is about Michigan football, it's already on MGoBlog - don't post it again, or indeed on another site. Chances are that MGoBlog has explored the issue and bitched about the issue thoroughly - twice actually."
Here's Sam's latest discussion on the subject -

Better advice. Don't post anything on Mgoblog ever, and you will never run the risk of hearing a thousand voices angrily cry out in unison.

He's got two years of eligibility remaining, but I would bet my left arm that he already knows he's going pro next year.

Probably because they were a 6-6 team this year before the sanctions hit and people left. It's hard to showcase 1st round draft pick skills on a non-bowl team as a QB. Then, once you decide that you're transferring, you look to a school that you dreamed of playing at as a kid that has very little experience at your position.
If he is our starting QB next fall I'd put it at 99% that he enters the 2019 draft, barring any kind of injury/catastrophic setback.

Maybe, however, if Harbaugh has him for two years he might be a top 3 pick. He might stay two years . . .
December 8th, 2017 at 9:42 AM ^
You guys are all baseing this on him being eligible immediately. I bet he doesnt play next year because i would bet the NCAA doesnt give him the waiver and he has to sit a year, so he wouldnt have a shot until 2019 and good luck to him to beat out peters and mcaffery at that point. NCAA are dicks and never approve of this immediate eligibility. If he does win his case great tho id gladly be wrong.

a top 3 pick also, i dont think his game translates well to pro's. hes not a great stand in pocket passer more of on the move manziel type, and uh he didnt work out to well pro. great college qb which is what M needs.

I like the chatter on this possible snag, but while I think he would be a great addition to the team, what he really brings is a new kind of credibility to the recruiting program. Recruits in high school have all sorts of people telling them all sorts of stuff, and current commits and likely future rosters/records are what they are. A top quarterback commit with a proven record given a very unusual option to choose again, that choice sends a powerful signal to a lot of young minds I assure you. Its like (but hopefully more fruitful) tracking insider trades to make your own decision.

No. Big Ten title or bitching.
2018 has always been the year we should win the Big Ten title and make the playoffs. Not necessarily win it all although anything can happen once in the playoffs. 2019 is THE year we should be major title contenders
