Mo Hurst for PFF Heisman?

Submitted by gjking on

In watching the PFF college twitter feed, it appears that Mo Hurst is the highest overall rated player for any team at any position, at least within Power 5 conferences. Does anyone know if they use the rating to give an overall best player award?

  1. Mo Hurst DT - 96.9
  2. Baker Mayfield QB (OU) - 96.2
  3. Joshua Jackson CB (Iowa) - 95.5
  4. Caleb Wilson TE (UCLA) - 93.9
  5. Frank Ragnow C (Ark) - 93.3

Other notables

  • Lamar Jackson QB (Loui) - 91.4
  • Bryce Love RB (Stan) - 90.6
  • Nick Bosa DE (OSU) - 90.7

I don't think they give it to the highest rated player, but because Mayfield is so high, it will surely go to him due to his teams achievements. Hurst will probably be their runner-up.

They should give it to the player whose score is either the largest difference between first and second best, or between their score and the average of the top 10 at that position.

Love this kid's on-the-field play.  Great motor.  NFL-caliber first step.  I really hope he gets drafted by the right team.  He should excel in a 1-gap attacking system.  When you add in that he was a two-time academic all-B1G guy, he seems like the full package.  He gave our fanbase 5 years.  He easily could have left last year for big money.

I'm going to miss Mo.

Mo “get in my belly” Hurst jr is going to be an absolute beast in the nfl. Mo combines speed, power, and leverage with intelligence to dominate and overwhelm all comers! Thank you Mo for all you did at Michigan!
