That's my thing too. I'm a sophomore here at Michigan so I live our athletics every day. It's hard to escape even if I wanted to. I'm just so fucking tired of losing. I wish I didn't care as much as I do because it's not healthy. The losses suck more than the wins are great. Fucking sick of it. And no, I'm not going to walk away from our teams. I wish I could, though.

We'll turn it around and be a good team by season's end, but ugh, once again we've given up a completely winnable game that will hurt our seeding down the road.

We are not very good. Not terrible, but not good. Maybe a fringe tournament team, but nothing better.

Ohio State also is not very good, but just like in football, their coaches and players each have a decided mental/toughness edge against us.

Wilting away such a giant lead was sickening to watch.

I wrestled in high school. Never had much respect for tree hockey. The first five minutes of our practice was harder than all of theirs. Now a non contact sport that I havea lot of respect for is swimming. We would all drown, except for the heavies as we would sink right to the bottom with no body fat. Those guys swim lap after lap. Shooting a ball around. It's like the corps basic compared to the navy's.

Does Michigan have a good wrestling team?.

I didn't check the box score but Robinson's shooting seemed terrible in this game also. If he's not lighting it up he's a big drag on this team. It's so funny how in basketball any time the team plays poorly or loses everyone's go-to is "mental toughness". But they had a ton of good looks when that game was tight late in the 2nd half where they just didn't make shots. They've shown some good flashes against Indiana and the 1st half tonight. Gotta be more consistent. Also, didn't it seem like Simpson played way more in the 2nd half? Brooks seems significantly better at this point.

If you look at the stats, DR has better minute to contribution numbers coming off the bench.  I wonder what Coach does with advanced stats.  It would seem he isn't paying any attention to them.  The auto bench and rigidity with the in game decisions that have the look of "feel" driven are other indicators. We won't find a better man or better champion of the program, but he is what he is as a coach.

Can we just forfeit all future sporting events against Ohio State?  Much less frustrating than watching us choke against them every single game in every single sport.

To answer your wife's question, no we are not tough in anything.  Soft sports programs.

I am not going to erupt, BUT!

What's with this meme about Michigan being young? If I had to guess I would say we have one of the oldest rosters in the country. We start four juniors and seniors, we have a ton of guys who redshirted. We're young because our non-freshman point guards stink? We're young because Jordan Poole occasionally plays 10 minutes? What's the deal with that narrative? It's not just wrong, the opposite is true.

Beilein is still the guy, but in the course of a week and a half the football and basketball teams have given up the largest blown leads to OSU in the entire history of their respective programs.

If that’s not schadenfreude, then I don’t know what is.
