Why can’t we beat Ohio State in fucking ANYTHING?
December 4th, 2017 at 8:51 PM ^
We beat them at life...and academics. But that's about it right now.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:56 PM ^
Basketball and football happen while you're alive. You can cross life off the list.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:58 PM ^
Nobody gives a fuck about life and academics. Football and basketball jackass.
December 4th, 2017 at 9:00 PM ^
is a buckeye. Kill me
December 4th, 2017 at 9:55 PM ^
Is that you?
December 4th, 2017 at 8:52 PM ^
That's my thing too. I'm a sophomore here at Michigan so I live our athletics every day. It's hard to escape even if I wanted to. I'm just so fucking tired of losing. I wish I didn't care as much as I do because it's not healthy. The losses suck more than the wins are great. Fucking sick of it. And no, I'm not going to walk away from our teams. I wish I could, though.
December 4th, 2017 at 9:00 PM ^
You have the joy of being a lifelong Michigan alumni for the next eighty years, in which you'll probably make considerably more money than them, marry better people than them, live in better cities than them, and most certainly have a better outlook on the world than them.
It all evens out, I promise.
December 4th, 2017 at 9:21 PM ^
Thank you for your words of encouragement. The long term outlook is much better than our current string of...whatever this has been.
December 5th, 2017 at 1:47 AM ^
I believe the word you are looking for is horsecock.
December 4th, 2017 at 9:04 PM ^
Lucky guy. My first Michigan game as a student was App State. I had 3 years of Rich Rod. Had the first 4 years of Beilein. College was awesome! College sports...not so much
December 4th, 2017 at 9:19 PM ^
I did feel for the students during those dark ages. . .
December 4th, 2017 at 11:47 PM ^
My freshman year was a fooball NC, hockey NC and a Heisman trophy. So year, I feel for you guys.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:39 PM ^
We'll turn it around and be a good team by season's end, but ugh, once again we've given up a completely winnable game that will hurt our seeding down the road.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:42 PM ^
Seeding for what???
December 4th, 2017 at 8:44 PM ^
Wife’s vagina
December 4th, 2017 at 8:44 PM ^
We'd be lucky to make the NIT
December 4th, 2017 at 8:47 PM ^
Lol this shouldn't be a thing ever. Shouldn't take a coach 10 months to get his team ready to play
December 4th, 2017 at 8:39 PM ^
We are not very good. Not terrible, but not good. Maybe a fringe tournament team, but nothing better.
Ohio State also is not very good, but just like in football, their coaches and players each have a decided mental/toughness edge against us.
Wilting away such a giant lead was sickening to watch.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:43 PM ^
This team could very well be 7-5 soon. Might be tough to even make it into the Big Dance.
Need the good recruits to get here.
Duncan Robinson should not be a starter on a D1 team.
December 4th, 2017 at 10:24 PM ^
But that is what three years of recruiting misses will do to you.
December 4th, 2017 at 9:30 PM ^
I wrestled in high school. Never had much respect for tree hockey. The first five minutes of our practice was harder than all of theirs. Now a non contact sport that I havea lot of respect for is swimming. We would all drown, except for the heavies as we would sink right to the bottom with no body fat. Those guys swim lap after lap. Shooting a ball around. It's like the corps basic compared to the navy's.
Does Michigan have a good wrestling team?.
December 5th, 2017 at 12:37 AM ^
They’re alright. Not nearly as good as Ohio state though.
December 5th, 2017 at 12:37 AM ^

December 4th, 2017 at 8:39 PM ^
How do you blow a 20 point lead like that? Terrible.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:40 PM ^
All started with TV Teddy’s five point play.
December 4th, 2017 at 9:04 PM ^
Did you catch him high five Dackich?
December 4th, 2017 at 8:40 PM ^
Because John Beilein is a mediocre coach. He should be fired. Michigan must do better.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:43 PM ^
I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it again; We need a moratorium on new accounts. ASAP.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:40 PM ^

Is my bet. Same M.O. Fire Pep, fire Beilein.

December 4th, 2017 at 8:39 PM ^
Poole needs to start over Robinson. We need another guy that can get to the rim. Robinson just isn’t consistent enough to start.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:48 PM ^
I didn't check the box score but Robinson's shooting seemed terrible in this game also. If he's not lighting it up he's a big drag on this team. It's so funny how in basketball any time the team plays poorly or loses everyone's go-to is "mental toughness". But they had a ton of good looks when that game was tight late in the 2nd half where they just didn't make shots. They've shown some good flashes against Indiana and the 1st half tonight. Gotta be more consistent. Also, didn't it seem like Simpson played way more in the 2nd half? Brooks seems significantly better at this point.
December 5th, 2017 at 9:06 AM ^
If you look at the stats, DR has better minute to contribution numbers coming off the bench. I wonder what Coach does with advanced stats. It would seem he isn't paying any attention to them. The auto bench and rigidity with the in game decisions that have the look of "feel" driven are other indicators. We won't find a better man or better champion of the program, but he is what he is as a coach.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:40 PM ^
Can we just forfeit all future sporting events against Ohio State? Much less frustrating than watching us choke against them every single game in every single sport.
To answer your wife's question, no we are not tough in anything. Soft sports programs.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:40 PM ^
Shit team. Not inspiration from the bench.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:40 PM ^
I am not going to erupt, BUT!
What's with this meme about Michigan being young? If I had to guess I would say we have one of the oldest rosters in the country. We start four juniors and seniors, we have a ton of guys who redshirted. We're young because our non-freshman point guards stink? We're young because Jordan Poole occasionally plays 10 minutes? What's the deal with that narrative? It's not just wrong, the opposite is true.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:49 PM ^
I don't see anyone in this thread talking about how Michigan is young.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:58 PM ^
should let that stop him.
It's the young freaking players who should have been on the court.
December 4th, 2017 at 9:12 PM ^
I am obviously not talking about this thread. There weren't even any comments in it when I wrote my post. It was a recurring theme during the broadcast.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:40 PM ^
Next podcast needs to be who or what cursed the athletic department. Just insane.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:41 PM ^
Beilein is still the guy, but in the course of a week and a half the football and basketball teams have given up the largest blown leads to OSU in the entire history of their respective programs.
If that’s not schadenfreude, then I don’t know what is.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:53 PM ^
We're in the pit of misery, without bud light.
December 5th, 2017 at 9:08 AM ^
Intersting take. I'd be in misery WITH Bud Light. The commercials are entertaining, generally, however.
December 4th, 2017 at 9:01 PM ^
I couldn't feel any worse. Thanks for that lovely morsel. I'll be trying to wrestle it from between my teeth all through tonight's bad dreams.
December 4th, 2017 at 8:41 PM ^
It's hard to see a path to the tournament from here, most teams in the B1G are going to be better than OSU.
