I'd like to attend to Bowl game.  I have never gone to a Michigan Bowl game!  (Sorry!)

Any thoughts or information regarding how to acquire a Bowl package which would hopefully include airfare, tickets, large amounts of beer, lodging etc.

Or is there a better, cheaper way?

Sorry to hijack this thread!  Just excited!

Thank you!

Taking any solace in a non playoff bowl selection over a team that has essentially kicked our ass for the past ten years is a very little brother thing to do. And the use of an exclamation point is especially embarrassing.

I would rather be playing in the Holiday. Playing a second tier bowl game whether it's on New year's day or not is irrelevant at this point. We've already played South Carolina in the Outback in the last five years also. Couldn't give less of a shit except for the team to get more practice.

It will become the norm for games outside the playoffs. I think coaches can use it as a recruiting tool. High draft round players can sit out, prep for the combine, and prepare for life post college, with reduced injury risk. backups can get valuable practice time and real game experience before the following year. It effectively will turn into an exhibition game similar to spring ball, except against a real team. Honestly, I'd be more interested in seeing young talent that hasn't played much more than people who will be graduating.

A good reaponse to such a trend would be to allow players taking a redshirt to play the bowl game without affecting their redshirt status. I think that’d be an awesome way to bridge the current and following season.

If they are going to do it - and they are - at least throw in a segment about Vincent's good works for the community.

Sports Illustrated actually did this a couple of years ago and it was pretty nice to see.

According to some very influential people, the SEC is better than the Big Ten.

Or at least Alabama is better than Ohio State.

I'm happy to see this matchup: a really good chance to get a great win to go into the offseason, a chance to beat an SEC team, and the players get to play someplace warm: Florda.

but a tuneup for next season with lots of healthy players showcasing what might have been and is going to be will be a very good way to usher in the New Year. There is a little more competition for Florida players right now than in the immediate past, and looking good in front of them cannot be a bad thing.
