Conference games
Wisconsin over OSU
Clemson over The U
Auburn over GA
OK over TCU
USC over Stan
First round
OK over Aub
Clem over Wisc
Championship
Clem over OK
November 30th, 2017 at 8:58 AM ^
I'd only make two changes:
Stanford over USC and Auburn over OKl. Then it would be Clemson over Auburn in the championship.
November 30th, 2017 at 8:51 AM ^
If a team has two losses they are clearly not the best team in CFB therefore should have no chance of being in the playoff.
November 30th, 2017 at 8:53 AM ^
Mostly agree, but in a scenario where there's not enough teams with less than 2 losses.. what u gonna do?
November 30th, 2017 at 8:56 AM ^
if Two losses, they better be close losses and they better be to great teams. Not losing by 31!! to Iowa
November 30th, 2017 at 8:58 AM ^
Agree with u brotha, but I don't think committee cares.. they want money.
November 30th, 2017 at 9:20 AM ^
There is no way in hell osu should be in the playoffs. I think it is mute anyways as they lose to Wisconsin but will see. If they beat Wisconsin by thirty the I am good with letting them in. It will be fun to watch Clemson beat them31-0 again.
OSU struggled to beat a team with no QB and huge officiating advantages. If they don't get the calls in the Wisconsin game they will lose but then Wisconsin gets to go get throttled by somebody.
Alabama does not desreve to be in. They played one decent team and lost by double digits. The Saban era is over and Harbaugh will be taking the reigns. Watch.
November 30th, 2017 at 9:39 AM ^
should be in over this 2 loss OSU team, if that is what it comes down to. You can't look past what OSU did last year in the Fiesta Bowl. They got in a non-conference champion and competely shit the bed. I would say if this was next year or the year after then it would not play into it as much, but that hamblasting is still fresh in the minds of the country. If OSU got in and got smoked again it would start to deligitimize the selection process. I think people look back at the Iowa game and wonder what the hell OSU was doing in the Playoff in the first place.
One thing is for sure about Bama, they are not going to get blown out. After playing OSU and leading them deep into the second half with a non-functional QB, I can't say the same thing for OSU. (I can't say that I would mind seeing OSU get into the playoff and get their ass handed to them again, because then I think the BIG might actually wake up and realize that they are not doing the conference any favors by holidng OSU's hand all the way to the Playoff every year).
I actually don't see Wisconsin getting throttled by anybody. If competitveness is the goal for the conference, Wisconsin is really the team I want going this year. Their defense is LEGIT.

Immaculate conception 2.0?
November 30th, 2017 at 9:53 AM ^
gets the benefit of the doubt. OSU, coming off a 31 point loss in last years play off and a 31 point loss to 7-5 Iowa, should not.
November 30th, 2017 at 10:47 AM ^
Alabama gets the benefit of my doubting they do better than 9-3 with our schedule.
November 30th, 2017 at 12:46 PM ^
What does last years result have anything to do with this year?
November 30th, 2017 at 9:42 AM ^
The Penn State legal team
November 30th, 2017 at 10:44 PM ^
You said look at what happens when the committee lets in a non conference champion and then use it as the reason why a non conference champion, Alabama, should get in over a conference champion OSU (assuming OSU beats Wisconsin). That’s probably not the best example to give. I agree that Bama should get in over OSU but mainly because they only have one loss and looked really good all year. If OSU beats Wisconsin they will have three wins better than any Alabama win. Wisconsin, MSU, and PSU.
November 30th, 2017 at 9:56 AM ^
Man, I can’t imagine that scenario after Oklahoma annihilated OSU on its home field. I agree that Alabama with one fairly close loss on the road to an excellent team gets in before OSU.
November 30th, 2017 at 12:51 PM ^
Well what is the point of having a conference playoff game? And yes I am aware that OSU jumped PSU last year, and it shouldn't have happened last year or ever again. But as FranklinHatchett said, it is all about the money.
December 2nd, 2017 at 12:19 AM ^
champ last year on the road, beat Wisconsin on the road. Won against a very good UM team and lost on a fluke FG block/return. Psu had 2 losses. Bama’s Best win is LSU, that’s it. Not totally the same scenario as last year. Many here have made the comment psu should have been in last year despite 2 losses. I guess it’s just OSU hate.
November 30th, 2017 at 9:58 AM ^
Disagree, I think the best team in the country is Auburn, and I think Ohio State is close to that when they play their best ball. There’s too much randomness in football, especially football played by 20 year olds, to say that the best team in football couldn’t lose twice. The best team in the NFL loses 2-4 times each year. 12-2 Auburn would be the #1 team in the country.
November 30th, 2017 at 10:10 AM ^
OSU the second best team in the country? We just played both and I think Wisconsin was better than OSU. I kind of expect Wisconsin to win that game comfortably, unless some "funny business" occurs.
November 30th, 2017 at 10:58 AM ^
Yeah, I think OSU is overrated this season. They destroyed the crappy teams on their schedule and were in competitive games (Penn St. and Michigan) or lost (Oklahoma and Iowa) to everyone with a pulse except MSU.
Add in the fact that Alabama is in exactly the same situation that OSU was in last year: a single loss to a team playing in its conference championship. Bama should get in before OSU. Honestly, I think Oklahoma should get in before OSU even if they lose to TCU. They would have 2 losses, beat OSU head-to-head and their loss to a mediocre opponent (Iowa St) was at least competitive.
November 30th, 2017 at 12:03 PM ^
both Oklahoma and TCU lost to Iowa State and would have beaten each other while Oklahoma beat OSU in Columbus...and OSU was blown out by Iowa...of course, OSU would get in over TCU because $$$$...but they shouldn't.
November 30th, 2017 at 12:59 PM ^
I am fine with Alabama making the playoffs as long as they are the only SEC team. Two teams from the same conference making the playoffs is almost as ridiculous now as when Alabama got the rematch against LSU 5 (?) years ago.

November 30th, 2017 at 8:55 AM ^
Hey Vlad no way Osu goes over Bama. No?
November 30th, 2017 at 9:18 AM ^
once you break the "no 2-loss team" rule with Auburn, it's only logical to take the champion of the best conference.
November 30th, 2017 at 9:20 AM ^
I hope your wrong. I can't imagine Osu gettin in over 1 loss Bama.
November 30th, 2017 at 11:34 AM ^
OSU will have wins over Wisconsin, Penn State, MSU, and Michigan. They will also have a conference championship. Bama will have wins over LSU, Fresno St, and Miss St without the conference championship.
It's obvious which team has accomplished more this season, plus it's clear by now that the committee cares more about strong wins than shit losses. Clemson lost to Syracuse and is currently ranked #1.
November 30th, 2017 at 9:05 AM ^
I have a hard time keeping Bama out if the goal is to truly put the best 4 teams in. Assuming the conference championship games go as expected, it'll be Clemson, Auburn, Oklahoma, and either 2 loss B1G champ OSU or 1 loss non-SEC champ Alabama. I guess we should be rooting for Wisconsin then, so both OSU and Bama get left out. But my problem with Wisconsin is if Michigan played their schedule, they'd probably be an 11 win team and in the CFP discussion. I fear if they make the playoffs, it'll be another disappointing showing by the B1G (MSU in 2015, OSU in 2016).

Per their own head coach.
November 30th, 2017 at 9:48 AM ^
Saban is the biggest piece of shit in college football. Meyer we did'nt forget about you. You are the runner up for douchbag of the year. How's that investigation going weirdo. Wonder what he would be like if he was on the other side of the officiating. Hollow wins you fuckin clown.
Saban could right a book on hypocrisy. That guy does not have a soul. I would'nt trust that fuck to water my lawn. He definitely should have been a lawyer. He more than fits the bill.
November 30th, 2017 at 9:56 AM ^
doesn't do faux friendly and accomodating well enough to be a good lawyer.
November 30th, 2017 at 11:48 AM ^
That meme is incorrect, Saban didnt exactly say that, fwiw:
November 30th, 2017 at 11:57 AM ^
Hatter you should actually watch that video. I took your word for it, but man, that meme is a perfect example of how social media, etc. can create fake news. Saban actually says the exact opposite of what the meme indicates he says in 2016, and his answer and analysis is pretty sound. He actually makes a case for why putting OSU is the Playoff last year could have been the right move and his answer would be completely consistent with Alabama getting in this year.
November 30th, 2017 at 12:22 PM ^
with your "facts" and "video evidence". This is 2017. My feelings are just as valid as your facts. Indeed my feelings are more valid, because they are my sincerely held beliefs.
November 30th, 2017 at 12:48 PM ^
right. And being that it is 2017, I must admit that your sincerely held beliefs are true, but that they are also, in fact, false at the same time.
November 30th, 2017 at 9:23 AM ^
Alabama is not one of the nation's four best teams right now. They really have not looked vintage for about a month.
November 30th, 2017 at 10:09 AM ^
is not how expect the conference championship games to go. I think Wisconsin will beat OSU and get in as the four or jump Oklahoma.
November 30th, 2017 at 12:46 PM ^
but I'm going with the "U" - Miami to pull out some weird stuff and steamroll Clemson in the ACC champion-chip game,
Re: OSU - I think it would take hanging 50+ points in a complete old-school woodshed spanking of the Sconnies to get in the cfp.
November 30th, 2017 at 8:55 AM ^
1.Clemson
2. Auburn
3. Oklahoma
4. Alabama
Alabama v. Oklahoma
Alabama wins it all
Really anything but OSU and I'm happy
