Don’t sell tickets to Buckeyes

Submitted by Coldwater on
This is the most basic rule in the Michigan-OSU rivalry. Do not under any circumstances sell or give a ticket to a red Katzemoyer jersey wearing Ohio State fan. We want as NO red in the Big House. Ohio Stadium is a sea of red during The Game. We need to make this as big a home field advantage as possible. No price is worth selling your soul as a Michigan fan

Maybe some people who originally bought tickets in anticipation that the game would be meaningful cant justify the $500-$1000 it costs to go anymore. Shit's expensive man, I paid out of the ass to go to Columbus last year but it was worth it, sometimes its not....

prices look liked they've dived about 50% since the Wisconsin game. That's a virtual gurantee that there will be an invasion of drunken, belligerent Buckeye fans who skipped buying their meds this month to pay for the tickets and Greyhound fare.

Wish I'd had your experience. Been to the last three UM-OSU games in Ann Arbor and I seem to always get stuck near a bunch of loud, obnoxious OSU assholes who will not shut up for the entire game, no matter how many people are telling them to STFU. Can't imagine how bad they must be at the 'Shoe.' Been to a lot of games in different locales, in and out of the Big Ten, and they are worse, by a hundred times, than any other college fans I've been around. Hoping I get luckier this year.

I got an e-mail a couple of weeks ago:

Book fares as low as $9 to Ann Arbor, MI. Be there to cheer on your favorite college team and let Greyhound take you there!

Don't miss this game - rep your school colors and book your trip today!

Sample fares are for one-way booked on www.Greyhound.com travel departing November 10.

You may see the flaw in their sales pitch...

If you cannot make the game set your price at an astronomically high or fictitious value.  Sugggestions: $167,435,621,132,685,654,99,999,999,99,74, $Awesome dot com.  $FortyTeen.Zero.  $Koch Brothers (kind of a twofer there for you).

Gonna buy 2 between the 30's. Went to our ticket exchange spreadsheet but apparently those folks think we are undefeated and playing for a shot at the National Championship based on their asking prices relative to the market itself.

buy an extra.  Seems like if you post on StubHub some bucky will be sure to buy.  I've sold on Rivals before or even this site to make sure I'm not the problem.

Best solution ... support your team.

I will be there. I would never sell my tickets to a buckeye. Actually part of the reason I get season tickets is so I can go to games like this. I will continue believing Michigan can win this game all week. Osu has 2 losses and is not invincible. Home field will make a difference.

Go to the game. Even if you have given up on this season and this particular team, this is the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for Michigan. Not a good look in the eyes of our potential future players for our stadium to be half full of fans from our biggest rival.

I am not selling my tickets but at the same time I can’t blame anyone for losing hope this season. If they sell on stubhub there is no way of knowing who buys the tickets so what do u want them to do exactly

NOT selling them on StubHub but instead using their tickets and showing up at The Big House all decked in Maize and Blue, ready to support our Wolverine Football Team with the same level of energy our players will have.

I mean its easy to go to the game when you think we have a chance and I will be at the big house but honestly I don’t see any way we win this game.

Faith has nothing to do with it. If that was the case we'd win the national championship every year. Lord knows the homers have been out in full force the last couple of years. Even I, believe it or not, had faith after those first few losses to o$u. But eventually I accepted reality while others are still saying "we're gonna win THIS year!"

Which is hopefully more energy than the MSU game. Sat sideline for that one and MSU came off the busses with twice the swagger that Michigan did. Ultimately, this carried over to the pregame warmups and then the game itself.

Don't be a dick. Go to the game if you have tickets. If you can't go, or don't want to go, give them to C.S Mott Children's Hospital as another posted noted. The hole that Yost dug, Crisler paid for, Canham carpeted, and Schembechler filled up every cotton pickin Saturday afternoon is a sacred place, and should be treated as such. GO BLUE.

There are so few games each season, and one less home game this year. If we as fans are feeling low, imagine how much harder it it for the players without our support. The team has worked really hard - don’t let the Buckeyes overrun the Big House!!
