Posbang! Happy Thanksgiving!

POSBANG TIME. I am still hungover from last night but today is the day in which we acknowledge and pay tribute to who we are thankful for. What is everyone’s plan for the holiday?

of the year.  Strange but  looking forward to the game way more than the meal this year despite our underdog status.  One thing at a time I guess.  Bang, bang ! Thankful to be so blessed, and hope our fellow  MGoBlog community is too.

I think it should be a must. Maybe people will attach a certain value to the food they consume instead of treating it like a loaf of bread. Taking the life of a creature is difficult. The disconnect between what you buy at the market and the life taken is a real shame. We are a wasteful and gluttonous society as a result in my opinion.

Enjoy your day. Just think about all of the lost life at the table. And imagine if you had to be responsible for hunting, killing and preparing all of the bounty. That's all I'm saying. Many of the fat fucks in this country couldnt track down a fucking frisbee let alone an actual living creature. Just something to think about.

to be used in wise stewardship.  that includes when we hunt them (venison last night), when we raise them for food (all of our meat) for ourselves and to sell to others.   we also do eggs, milk, veggies, and row crops.  my question to you is sincere:  if you really believe 'earn your breakfast', what did you do to 'earn' what you've eaten today or any other day?   you don't farm, right?

We have about 10 raised bed gardens. We don't do so well as far as production. Not enough to live off of obviously. That stewardship line seems like it's out of a religious text. I don't believe in any of that BS. One of the reasons is it is very human-centric and dismissive of animals. Personally I would prefer only hunted meat could be consumed by humans. I am incapable of taking an animals life there for I don't deserve the bounty hence I don't eat meat. I think all people should have to discover this as well. Again this is all my personal opinion. My fiancee eats meat. I don't say a word.

I'm aware. Before domestication and mass production farms and kill plants they did. That's my point. I am totally in favor of hunting. That's earning it. I'm not in favor of Mrs fat-bottom buying a roast packaged in plastic and never even having to think about the horror of a large animal being killed to provide that roast. Everything has a cost. Sometimes money doesn't cover it.

assuming a humane kill.   and i'm curious where you come by the knowledge since it appears that you have never done such a thing.

and please tell me how mrs fat bottom roast buyer is different than mr. fat-bottom veggie guy, buying his produce and canned 'organic' stuff, never having to think of the horror of the plant being killed to provide that veggie meal?
