Program is moving in the wrong direction. Again.

Don Brown outcoached in the 2nd half of another big game.

Needs to switch up coverages. They need to go 3 corners on third and long.

Kinnel and Mettlus can not be on the field at the same time on 3rd and medium or long to go.

Out coached in every aspect of the game plain and simple.

Just can't win big games. This year they haven't been capable of beating a .500+ team. What's the biggest win of the current regime? The bowl win against a mediocre Florida who packed it in before the game even started? What gets me is the blatant holes and shortcomings that the team still has in year 3: -WRs never seem to make a contested grab, while other teams, including our rivals, never seem to have issues with True Freshman WRs making plays. It seems like the team even has a disproportionate amount of simple catches dropped too, I don't understand the lack of production. -The OL never seems to improve, and the same simple stunts against them are effective week in and week out. I'd hate to be a QB recruit watching this team throughout the season and seeing multiple QBs getting hurt behind this line. The rushing production increase over the past couple weeks was a simple product of playing terrible teams. Today they rushed for less than 60 yards against Wisconsin, something like 1.6 yards per carry. -Special teams are so hot and cold, and you never know what unit is going to show up. A team like Michigan should never have to worry about having sub 35 yard punts and missing XPs and chip-shot field goals. -The simple mental mistakes, like the Punt coverage giving up arguably the easiest/most awkward touchdown return that I've ever seen; a simple effort play. -The defense went into a shell base defense on 3rd and long during this Wisconsin game and gave up massive conversions. Look how well bringing Hudson off the edge is working here late in the game. When pressure is working, why abandon it? -There seems to be no killer instinct. Michigan lived in Wisconsin territory for a good portion of this game today, with not much to show for it. Consistently squandered good field position for most of the game. The staff most definitely plays "not to lose" rather than going out and playing aggressively like Urban, Meyer, and Dantonio. The staff is closer to Iowa and Ferentz in that regard than they are to any of the elite staffs around in college football today. Running Evans up the pipe on 2nd & 10 while down 2 scores? Embarrassing I don't think that there is anyone out there that we can go out and get that is better than Harbaugh, but it's hard to envision next year being any better with @ND, @MSU, @Northwestern and @OSU with Wisconsin and Penn State at home. That schedule is exponentially tougher than this year's. Man, I just want Michigan to win something significant in my lifetime. Being a student during the Richrod years has taken its toll.
