Colorado, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Florida(in the bowl game). And they have dominated the teams they should have which means way more than people think. Yes they haven't beaten OSU, but neither have most teams. Next year will be a very good year to judge how Michigan will be under Harbaugh with some experience against a tough schedule. I think Michigan hits 10 wins next year.

Respectfully, I disagree. I do not say it lightly: I believe we're moving in the wrong direction. I'm sick of excuses, such as injuries. Other teams suffer injuries and overcome them to continue winning (e.g. Wisconsin). Other teams succeed with young players. In my opinion, three years of losing to nearly every ranked team we've played is a disastrous pattern, not just bad luck, or a small sample size.

Bama and OSU never had a gap in talent like Michigan did. Where's all the upperclassmen on this team to keep them close to last year's level? There isn't any. Once the depth is there, the team won't have to count on freshmen and sophomores like this year.

No kidding. No team can match Alabama or OSU in reloading. And if you haven't noticed OSU has almost the same amount of losses as Michigan with a 4th year starting QB and a much better offense overall. OSU could very likely lose their bowl game and end up with 3 losses. That's more embarrassing than Michigan going 8-4 when you compare everything.

I agree about anyone having a clue knowing that this wouldn't be a perfect year. I do disagree that Michigan will have to wait until 2019. Michigan returns almost everyone next year including the injured guys so they'll have even more experience than expected. They should be a top tier team and need to be in contention to win the Big Ten when they head to Columbus next year.

Needs to switch up coverages. They need to go 3 corners on third and long.

Kinnel and Mettlus can not be on the field at the same time on 3rd and medium or long to go.

Just can't win big games. This year they haven't been capable of beating a .500+ team. What's the biggest win of the current regime? The bowl win against a mediocre Florida who packed it in before the game even started? What gets me is the blatant holes and shortcomings that the team still has in year 3: -WRs never seem to make a contested grab, while other teams, including our rivals, never seem to have issues with True Freshman WRs making plays. It seems like the team even has a disproportionate amount of simple catches dropped too, I don't understand the lack of production. -The OL never seems to improve, and the same simple stunts against them are effective week in and week out. I'd hate to be a QB recruit watching this team throughout the season and seeing multiple QBs getting hurt behind this line. The rushing production increase over the past couple weeks was a simple product of playing terrible teams. Today they rushed for less than 60 yards against Wisconsin, something like 1.6 yards per carry. -Special teams are so hot and cold, and you never know what unit is going to show up. A team like Michigan should never have to worry about having sub 35 yard punts and missing XPs and chip-shot field goals. -The simple mental mistakes, like the Punt coverage giving up arguably the easiest/most awkward touchdown return that I've ever seen; a simple effort play. -The defense went into a shell base defense on 3rd and long during this Wisconsin game and gave up massive conversions. Look how well bringing Hudson off the edge is working here late in the game. When pressure is working, why abandon it? -There seems to be no killer instinct. Michigan lived in Wisconsin territory for a good portion of this game today, with not much to show for it. Consistently squandered good field position for most of the game. The staff most definitely plays "not to lose" rather than going out and playing aggressively like Urban, Meyer, and Dantonio. The staff is closer to Iowa and Ferentz in that regard than they are to any of the elite staffs around in college football today. Running Evans up the pipe on 2nd & 10 while down 2 scores? Embarrassing I don't think that there is anyone out there that we can go out and get that is better than Harbaugh, but it's hard to envision next year being any better with @ND, @MSU, @Northwestern and @OSU with Wisconsin and Penn State at home. That schedule is exponentially tougher than this year's. Man, I just want Michigan to win something significant in my lifetime. Being a student during the Richrod years has taken its toll.

Write it down Michigan is definitely beating Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State, and Notre Dame next year. Wisconsin won't be as good on defense. Notre Dame will take a step back. Michigan State will end up 8-4. Penn State is going to be mediocre after they lose Barkley and Moorehead. Michigan will take a big step forward and end next season being talked about as one of the best teams for 2019.

offensively with a makeshift line and inconsistent qb play. I mean how many down the field bombs have been open and the ball is just not on time. Explosive plays turn bames around. Michigan just isn't settled at quarterback. If Speight was available, maybe things are different today, maybe not. His play seemed off before his injury.

Players make coaches look good or bad. This outcome today wasn't on the coaching staff. Their kids made plays. The defensive backs played those receivers tough and they made great catches.

It's frustrating to have a Mo Hurst, and see him not get rewarded with a championship season. He is so dynamic. But Michigan's defense gpt worn down. The staff was trying to play a field position game, which explains the play-calling. They were obviously gambling on the defense making plays and keeping the Badgerts pinned. Once Peters was lost, that gameplan was done. But Michigan couldn't afford to play from behind. They just aren't equiped.

My issue with the staff is not recruiting more speed on the outside. Is DPJ the only fast receiver we got other than Tarique Blacik? Until this offense can threaten deep and force other teams to play against a high octane passing game, the offense is no better the MSU's and Iowas in the league.
