I dont know what these coaches are doing but this team has no heart. They fold easily under pressure. Peters went down and the team seemed like they mailed it in. You lost your QB and your not pissed? I dont get it. People make fun or Mark and Kelly’s purple face BUT i would love to see the coach get on the players face and do some yelling.

Dreading next Saturday because we’ll probably lose 35-3 but I can’t bring myself to boycott the game. I had lunch with my OSU friend on Thursday and Buckeyes aren’t even that fired up. They know Michigan sucks and between RR Hoke and Harbaugh (Lloyd for that matter) it’s worse than the Cooper era. I don’t even care whether there are any shakeups to the coaching staff. Won’t matter anyway. Just call me Eeyor.

But there is dysfunction on the offensive side of the ball in terms of the staff. Harbaugh normally assembles a good staff, but I don’t that is the case this year. The staff lacks cohesion it seems. The offensive side of the ball really needs a lot of work.

Honest question. We all want Tim and pep gone after the season (most of us at least) but when we complain about our shitty playcalling and offensive coaches, doesn't it start and end with Harbaugh. I mean doesn't he get final say on play calls? I think our staff is no good but I think it says more that we lack the talent and personnel needed. Unless we think that Harbaugh sucks as a play caller too then idk

They aren’t getting any impact players in this upcoming recruiting class so better develop the guys they have. Harbaugh plays not to lose in big games, uses frippery and trick plays against cupcakes up 30 but turtles in the games that matter and the offense grinds to a halt. Don’t understand how people can’t be disappointed with what this coaching staff has produced results wise so far. Not ready to fire harbaugh yet but next year has to include real meaningful wins or its time to question.

You'll be happy to learn we're comically young and there are lots of promising dudes to develop.  DPJ is starting to show some things as a WR.  Bredesen, Ruiz, and Onwenu are going to be very good.  Peters looks good when given time.  Black looked like a player before he got hurt.  Solomon is now a solid contributor and pseudo starter on a really good defense.  We have great players in place at both corners, MLB, and both DEs that are still young and getting better.  Uche looks like he'll be a contributor somewhere.  Safeties are the relative weak points defensively, but mostly fine.

Next year we need to be in the playoff conversation entering OSU week or things have gone wrong, but this was always going to be a transition year.  If any of like three dozen small things happen differently, people aren't all that upset.  Notably the OSU game last year, obviously.

As I recall we had to take a timeout on that play because we ran out of play clock trying to get the offense set.  And I think it was 3rd and 8 at that time deep in our own end with Wiscy stacking the box with about 9 defenders.  That play was NEVER going to get positive yards.

look a lot better than our OL?  I hope it is just youth and one day we will have a traditional Michigan OL again. It's been since '06 that we have had a traditionally good Michigan OL.

Is there a big leap forward next year? I am not optimistic, and it bums me to think that realistically we will have to wait till 2019 when things theoretically all fall into place. Our defense will continue to be lights out but how much do we expect the offense to grow? We will either be back where we were with a rusty speight, or still developing peters. I’ve got to think the receivers will be better with year two of dpj and a healthy black, Nico in the mix....but will the oline have any sort of improvement? Especially without cole?

I think what kept us out of the playoffs was an inability to gain a few yards when we really needed it because our Oline couldn’t get it done when it mattered most. And our error prone QB threw a back braking pick 6 as he’s wont to do. All of that points to Harbaugh and Offensive coaches being a problem....they need to change things up on O.

Cole's not that great with pass protection.  The problem is really the line calls.  We don't know who to block with blitzes and stunts.  That's a coaching thing but also a center/QB thing.  Hopefully Ruiz is better at it than Kugler.  We should have a mauling interior line.  WRs should be a lot better.  You can see DPJ figuring things out.  Black looked feasible.  TEs should develop.  McKeon is inconsistent but good.  The question is tackle and the line calls.  Ideally Newsome comes back and is as good as he was.  Who knows if that's possible.

But realistically, the defense should be better next year. We don't need an elite offense, we need one that can put together four or five drives and grind out games at the end.  We are built pretty well for that, I think.

I would say our aim is to have an elite defense (top 3) and a good enough offense (say...40th) in 2018, which if we actually catch some damn breaks for once could get us to the playoff.

why does the o-line play like a bunch of 1 star high school freshmen? I mean the simplest stunt, twist, or swim move and the opposing dlinemen is immediately in the QB's face. Remember when Harbaugh's classroom on grass was being pitched as a huge outside of the box thing? Where are the results of that with simple god damn pass blocking.

Well Don Brown does need to play it smarter at times.

I have seen many times this year he is way too agressive in 3rd Down situations.

Play coverage, rush 3, and using your safeties as safeties.
