This program just folds in big games. Harbaugh is no different. Very concerning.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:37 PM ^
We are top 5 of all mediocre teams. Consistently.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:49 PM ^
Jim "John Cooper" Harbaugh
Great coach. Just shit luck and mediocre big game coach.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:53 PM ^
...Harbaugh.
Remember that time we were leading a Vince Young-led Texas team in the Rose Bowl, then M turtled and it all went pear-shaped.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:10 PM ^
over mediocrity.
Jim Hermann was atrocious. . .
November 18th, 2017 at 3:57 PM ^
...except Cooper’s teams actually won Big Ten titles (Harbaugh has not), Cooper lost to his rival 10 times (not two to date) and Cooper actually won the Rose Bowl....but other than that Harbaugh is just like Cooper!
November 18th, 2017 at 4:24 PM ^
So Cooper is better than Harbaugh? Or wait on the comparison until OSU steamrolls us next week?
Pick a side man!
November 18th, 2017 at 5:36 PM ^
...you are comparing apples to oranges...so it was just a dumb comparison.
November 18th, 2017 at 5:41 PM ^
Cooper's first three seasons at Ohio State -- 4-6-1, 8-4, 7-4-1. He didn't win more eight games until his sixth season.
November 19th, 2017 at 2:47 AM ^
...but only John Cooper’s first three years.
November 18th, 2017 at 9:00 PM ^
hahahahahahahah then stop following you fucking twat. it's that simple. free country.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:51 PM ^
...like this for years.
- Can't win on the road
- Can't beat rivals
- Can't finish strong on a big stage
Yet there are tons of people on this board and among the Michigan fanbase who talk and act like Michigan is elite.
Based on what? 1901-1905?
Give me a break.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:02 PM ^
It wasn't that long ago when we couldn't beat Toldeo at home. Now we're back to beating the teams we're supposed to beat. Baby steps...
November 18th, 2017 at 4:02 PM ^
Fuck off
November 18th, 2017 at 6:42 PM ^
Last win against a team with a winning record was October 1st, 2016.
No killer instinct.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:36 PM ^
Wonderful
November 18th, 2017 at 3:38 PM ^
People negged me after the MSU game when I said the team never seems to match MSU's intensity, but it just seems that way in every big game they play. They look flat and uninspired all the time. They just melt after the smallest sign of something wrong. I really think people underestimate the power of emotion in football. It got Iowa a huge win over OSU and it got MSU a win over us and PSU. It would be nice if we could steal a game we shouldn't one of these days. We blew our chance last year by melting down at Iowa and OSU. Meanwhile Miami goes down to Virginia but manages to claw their way back in crunch time. We never do.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:53 PM ^
Team reflects the coach- Harbaugh is burned out- no life in him
November 18th, 2017 at 3:58 PM ^
You really thought would never happen to a Harbaugh coached team
November 18th, 2017 at 4:15 PM ^
Thats because he knows he is gonna be back in the nfl next season
November 18th, 2017 at 4:05 PM ^
We were in this game until Peters got hurt. I guessed 9-3 this year as our ceiling. Looks like I’m right.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:08 PM ^
I think this team hasn't seen enough luck go in their favor. Lets face it, we have been snake big in several big games under Harbaugh. MSU punt, spot vs OSU, KR vs FSU, injuries to QBs, dropped passes. We have choked and the team flops at the first sign of adversity, like they did today. Just seems like we can't catch a break. I'm praying for us to pull off a miracle next week. Harbaugh needs this!
November 18th, 2017 at 4:32 PM ^
With a second rate coaching staff
November 18th, 2017 at 4:49 PM ^
While I agree with you, I would remind us of the Colorado game last year as a comparison to Miami and Virginia.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:36 PM ^
We would lose these last 2. See a pattern
November 18th, 2017 at 3:40 PM ^
Of better teams beating us? Yea, that's a bummer. No need to dive into histrionics. Oh wait, this is Michigan football. Carry on.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:37 PM ^
Farts smell
November 18th, 2017 at 3:52 PM ^
With your neutral comments
November 18th, 2017 at 3:58 PM ^
There’s nothing neutral about farts. They’re offensive and wonderful simultaneously.
November 18th, 2017 at 5:17 PM ^
frontal ones.
November 19th, 2017 at 1:41 AM ^
Sometimes mine don't for the first 2 or 3, but then I bring the funk.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:38 PM ^
Then halfway thru the 3rd gave them the momentum they needed.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:38 PM ^
Agree with Stringer. This team cannot play well in big games. They always find a way to lose.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:38 PM ^
Yep it is very concerning. Has Michigan been the most overrated/underachieving program in the 10-15 years? If not, they are damn close. They certainly have had the shittiest luck in that timeframe.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:43 PM ^
Our coach plays football with kids, climbs trees, does sleepovers, commercials, and is always in the news for non football things... How about WINNING SOME FOOTBALL GAMES?????
November 18th, 2017 at 3:55 PM ^
JH is buzy working on a top secret plan to get a job for Colin Pumpernick
November 18th, 2017 at 3:58 PM ^
...if the team forwent their trip to Rome and spent more time on ball security and turnover drills.
They can take a special course on Rome or a million other topics, Lord knows that Michigan has plenty of excellent courses to offer!
November 18th, 2017 at 6:24 PM ^
Perhaps the other courses the UM offers preach safe spaces, coloring book and ice cream?
Just sayin

November 18th, 2017 at 3:51 PM ^
Why stop in the last 10-15 years? Michigan is the most overrated/underachieving team (your words) since World War II. That’s over 70 years for non history folk.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:40 PM ^
It's almost like top 10 teams are good or something.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:50 PM ^
Unless it's #2 Michigan vs. Iowa....
November 18th, 2017 at 3:51 PM ^
No shit Sherlock, but guess what? Mark D has 10 top ten wins to his name.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:59 PM ^
In 11 years. He didn't have too many in his first three.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:10 PM ^
Dantonio didnt walk into a top 5 wealthiest program either with all the resources of a pro team. Dantoio beat us this year abd beat psu with a cobbled together unit with half the team suspended
Results matter, not excuses
November 18th, 2017 at 4:24 PM ^
You are so stupid.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:25 PM ^
it’s funny that you couldn’t use the line “results matter, not excuses” last year for Dantonio.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:33 PM ^
Give me a 3-9 season every once and a while if we win like MSU does. Jesus Christ, they have a playoff appearance. Come the fuck on.
November 18th, 2017 at 5:12 PM ^
I've heard a few people say, "look at FSU this year." At least they've won a national championship...
November 18th, 2017 at 5:22 PM ^
Would you also take a 48-3 loss to OSU? I get that this board likes to get reactionary, but I guarantee you that in year 10 if Harbaugh goes 3-9, every single person on here would be calling for his firing. Shit, he has had back to back 10 win seasons and numerous people are calling him the most overrated coach in football. Come the fuck on is right. You act as though Dantonio came in and challenged for anything in his first 3 years at MSU. I wouldn’t want a single 3-9 record from Harbaugh and you’re lying if you say you would.
Also, it’s true, they do have a playoff appearance. But I don’t think I’d call what they did playing in the playoffs
