but the team will be better. Looks like 9-3 next season with losses at ND, @ OSU and to another team. I hope we can beat sparty in e.Lansing.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:57 PM ^
Otherwise spot on.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:42 PM ^
I was under the impression that Harbugh and his minions were meta-game planners. I'm not seeing that whatsoever in the three years of Harbaugh's tenure. The coaches do not develop gameplans that work to our players' advantages. It's maddening.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:42 PM ^
Criminally poor o-line coaching, he should apologize to Peters' family. Game 11 and we can't deal with simple fucking defensive line stunts and twists.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:45 PM ^
funny, thought that was a Wisconsin player
November 18th, 2017 at 4:03 PM ^
You leave Lee Trevino out of this.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:35 PM ^
Think he's talking about the 1991 Energizer Senior Open when Lee Trevino drove his 9 iron into the turf on hole 18 and duffed his approach shot.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:46 PM ^
This shit needs to stop. That was definitely on the RT who is coached by Frey. Drevno coaches the interview line which has played respectably the second half of the season despite an injury to arguably our best guard.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:54 PM ^
That's incorrect. However I do take your overall point. My point is that the whole line and offense is ultimately on Drevno
November 18th, 2017 at 4:04 PM ^
It was the RT’s fault that a guy got through free up the gut on a stunt from the left side? What the fuck was JBB supposed to do?
November 18th, 2017 at 4:25 PM ^
why do we have multiple OL coaches and still can't block?
November 18th, 2017 at 5:03 PM ^
If you have 2 OL coaches, you don't have one?
November 18th, 2017 at 5:14 PM ^
please. The fact that there are two offensive line coaches is pathetic. as well as tight end coaches. It's a joke. he had anything to do with the play calling today then he needs to be scrutinized.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:49 PM ^
Yup. His Oline is an absolute danger to pass behind. We wouldn’t have hurt qbs all the time if they weren’t getting completely free runners anihilating them every third play.
November 18th, 2017 at 5:24 PM ^
And I'd love to see Drevno replaced, but doesn't Frey get some of the blame here too? I thought he was supposed to fix all of the OL woes (and maybe he still will), but they are both responsible, no?
November 19th, 2017 at 2:44 AM ^
There is plenty of blame to spread around. Everyone gets a helping.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:42 PM ^
Harbaugh needs to go back to the NFL. Michigan needs to find a college coach.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:48 PM ^
Hot take alert!
November 18th, 2017 at 3:48 PM ^
But I can't. Harbaugh is a Michigan legend but he seems to be geared more towards the NFL game.
November 18th, 2017 at 9:11 PM ^
I want to hate your comment. And I do, because it's so fucking stupid and nonsensical.
November 18th, 2017 at 5:09 PM ^
Yes Harbaugh has never had success in college before.
November 18th, 2017 at 5:10 PM ^
Yes Harbaugh has never had success in college before. Only pros.
November 18th, 2017 at 5:11 PM ^
Raiders still in play?
November 18th, 2017 at 3:42 PM ^
Program is a mess. usually u are excited about the next season when u have lots of talent coming back and a good season. But if we end up 8-5 and probably not have a single win against a top-25 team how can anyone realistically believe this team will win the big ten next year
November 18th, 2017 at 6:40 PM ^
But I don't think anyone here thinks Michigan is winning the B1G next year. If by chance they do then they are absolutely delusional. Next year there will be improvement albeit 1+ in the W column.
November 18th, 2017 at 8:06 PM ^
2018 was always supposed to be the year. Now people are pushing it back to 2019.
When are people actually going to start questioning Harbaugh for his lack of achievement here?
November 19th, 2017 at 6:11 AM ^
I have that same question on lack of achievement. This is getting old real quick. Truthfully it has been old for years now. It didnt start with Harbaugh nor has it changed with Harbaugh. It is so frustrating seeing other teams pass us by while Michigan is stuck in place. If excuses won NC's then our trophy case is filling up fast. I am going to bet Tom Herman will have Texas back before Harbaugh has Michigan back. Look at the dumpster fire Herman walked into.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:42 PM ^
8-3 is about where I expected us to be record wise, it's just unacceptable how we look. The same mistakes every week. Not looking for the ball, penalties, not able to pick up blitzes.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:56 PM ^
Our offense is rough .. but you just CAN NOT say our D is unacceptable. They can't do it all and the offense needs to be at least average. That is hard to do when ... both QBs are down .. possibly our best WR has been injured for awhile now .. 2 RBs down and a starting O lineman .... and our WR's that are in there don't catch balls in traffic. The offense for sure needs to catch up ... but this D has done a damn good job this season.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:12 PM ^
it's all on the Harbaugh offensive genius. things need to change No Doubt.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:48 PM ^
He didn't say the defense was unacceptable. He said "we" are, meaning the whole team.
November 18th, 2017 at 6:56 PM ^
But the defense is PART of that team and the defense is extremly good. Period. Don't lump them in. The offense is the one that needs to catch up.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:16 PM ^
Well said. You explained feelings in a nutshell. Not much more to be said other than what beverage to go with.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:43 PM ^
TD on 3rd and 14 pretty much was the end.... looking forward to next year
November 18th, 2017 at 7:04 PM ^
You might be setting yourself up for the same disappointment "next year". Might wanna hold out for 2019. We might sniff success and a 1 loss season then. Next year is a 3 loss season IF not another 8-4 like this year.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:43 PM ^
a more experienced team wins this game. failed to take advantage of opportunities.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:49 PM ^
Coaching is where the O line would learn to block better, or discipline to not give up on plays like the Wisc punt reruns TD, or having a qB loosely holding a ball while running, or ......... goes on and on. It all starts and ends with coaching.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:52 PM ^
Other teams can win with young, inexperienced players. Offense looked all out of sorts in the first half. And ineffective in the 2nd. I get errors, drops, etc.. from young players...But we were outcoached again.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:43 PM ^
I'm sure we'll get some answers in the post game presser.
November 18th, 2017 at 7:09 PM ^
Do you mean as in the previous 10 post game pressers or the Drevno presser early next week?
November 18th, 2017 at 3:44 PM ^
I think the O-line's pass blocking is borderline dangerous for us and has cost us both Peters and Speight. I don't know if it is coaching or inexperience, but this cannot keep happening.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:45 PM ^
Whoever tackled Peters drove him into the ground should have been a penalty
November 18th, 2017 at 4:05 PM ^
It can keep happening
November 18th, 2017 at 3:44 PM ^
Fake PI calls to extend drives.... Refs really helped them
November 18th, 2017 at 3:48 PM ^
Announcers called it out as well. Michigan always gets The short end of the officiating stick
November 18th, 2017 at 3:47 PM ^
Cannot believe everyone in this thread ripping the one guy that is the reason this team isn’t a complete dumpster fire, rather than the half dumpster fire it is now.
So, on the other hand, is there a single coach on the offensive side that should keep his job after this year? I can’t think of a single one. But I bet they’re all back anyways on the premise of this being a rebuilding year and injuries.
November 18th, 2017 at 3:59 PM ^
There's more than one coach on the staff, champ.
November 18th, 2017 at 4:45 PM ^
I guess these folks would like to have the 5-7 2014 Hoke year back or the 3-8 RR year back.
November 18th, 2017 at 7:42 PM ^
Winning B10 titles and competing for national titles. That is what the expectations are with Harbaugh as our head coach.
