The Iron Jock

Submitted by Commie_High96 on
Harbaugh put Quinn Nordin on blast today in his weekly presser saying Nordin needs to “Strap on the Iron jock and just put it through the uprights.” This May be my favorite Harbaughism to date, though it is a little harsh. This was not in the MGoBlog coverage of the presser, but appeared in MLive, an internet new site normally dedicated to showing pictures of meth-heads from Bay City and photos of cosplay. http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2017/11/michigans_jim_harbaug…

What’s up with these kind of posts all the time recently? I’ve been on this blog a decent amount of time and see some off color things posted (which I️ enjoy)

If you have a problem with mods on this blog you need to take a look in the mirror. Now good day sir.

I caved him again, so the replies in several threads will no longer make sense, but I will say about our former colleague MaizeBlueWhateverTheHellThatNumberWas, his commitment to making sure his disillusionment with the circumstances regarding his banishment are well-document is very impressive.....and disturbing.

I think harbaugh sticks with people too long. Ulizio played 5 games before JBB came in at all. JOK played 5 games before Peters came in. I think we should give Nordin some slack but at some point someone else has to come in if he misses another kick.

WTF?  Is Harbaugh sticking with him too long, or does he get one more kick?  I mean, Harbaugh himself said he gets one more kick, and here you are complaining that he stays too long with people.

Don't know about Ulizio, but Peters wasn't ready to replace JOK until sometime around the IU game - Harbaugh's own words in his Rutgers presser.  How many times does this need to be repeated?

Well they were going to ask about it because of what the cameras picked up on Saturday.

He tried the nurturing approach and it didn't work. So he said he was trying what worked with Kenny Allen last year to get him out of his slump.

Ill give Coach the benefit of the doubt that this is just a psychological motivator because of his track record. But I'm also a biased homer, and would probably be having a field day if Brian Kelly did it.

Because their exchange was caught on TV, the media was going to create their own narrative. Harbaugh got in front of that by sharing the details. It was a much better outcome (IMO) than people thinking Wild Thing was mouthing off to the coach.

But in general, I agree 100% to keep things private. And JH seems consistent in that regard.
