November 12th, 2017 at 12:07 PM ^
Lol dumbass you know this is going to get negbanged
November 12th, 2017 at 12:08 PM ^
Harbaugh wins 2019 National Championship, then tries for Super Bowl ring?
November 12th, 2017 at 12:08 PM ^
The bears and Tribiaky stink. He isn’t good.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:10 PM ^
I agree. Trubisky played for an ass team in college and couldn’t even win them big games. Hopefully the Bears learned their lesson.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:09 PM ^
Espn is a frickin joke and pure trash. And the bears r losing today.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:10 PM ^
LOL WHY DO PEOPLE STILL INTERACT WITH THAT FUCKING WEBSITE?
November 12th, 2017 at 12:13 PM ^
Espn is for people who only care about highlights n shit n people who think defense is boring. Not to mention their terrible tv channel is terrible. They have all these stupid shows like micheal and jemele and first take n around the horn
November 12th, 2017 at 1:00 PM ^
The app lets you pick your teams and delivers the scores and news stories. No one else has anything better right now for those simple tasks. CBS and Fox are awful.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:14 PM ^
Not just ESPN. I got a CBSSports alert saying how Harbaugh will have major interest from nfl teams. I think it was an article by Jason La Canfora and said he’d expect Harbaugh back in the nfl at some point. These people will never stop.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:58 PM ^
I’m not going to bother linking it. It offered no sources or intel; just typical #hottakes and smoke blowing.
November 12th, 2017 at 9:35 PM ^
He reported earlier that Irsay will come calling about the Colts job.
November 13th, 2017 at 11:14 AM ^
There will ALWAYS be "Jim Harbaugh to the NFL" stuff out there. It may have been the CBS Sports article but one even went so far as to say his Michigan career hasn't been as good as hoped.. seriously? If he doesn't go undefeated and win titles every year it's a disappointment?
But hey, look at it this way.. no NFL team is knocking down the door for Urban Meyer. We have a great coach who is highly coveted by basically every NFL team and will continue to be forever.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:11 PM ^
Harbaugh is not leaving UM for the Bears and the cheap ass McCaskeys.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:12 PM ^
"I hate this article so much I'm going to call attention to it and make sure it gets lots of page views. That'll show 'em."
November 12th, 2017 at 12:15 PM ^
Fuck Espn fuck everyone who thinks Harbaugh is leaving
November 12th, 2017 at 12:16 PM ^
The Bears aren't even the right test. For those who actually believe he's destined to return to the NFL, they need a proof of concept test, and that's the Colts. Indianapolis is one of very few teams that Harbaugh has nostalgia for (given his playing days). It also has Andrew Luck and, in theory, a management office willing to give Harbaugh an uncountably long leash.
Michigan fans should want the Colts to make an offer after this year. If that happens and Harbaugh turns them down, the odds of him returning to the NFL bottom out near zero and that will finally become apparent to outsiders as well.
I can't say that realization would necessarily help with recruiting, but it certainly couldn't hurt.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:32 PM ^
and Irsay is a drug addict. No way would Harbaugh take that job.
The Lions...well, that would be different. Franchise QB, a long lease from the owners, and a fan base that would give him a lot of leeway,
All that said, I don’t see JH leaving anytime soon. He just had a child, his elderly father is literally living next door to him, he has complete control without fear of interference from meddling owners, he makes a ton of money, and doesn’t have to worry about pro players tuning him out.
He seems like he is in a good place. Why leave for the tumultuous NFL?
November 12th, 2017 at 12:57 PM ^
Especially given the fact that to be hired in the NFL is to be eventually fired. Harbaugh knows that dynamic personally. He can retire at Michigan as a legend.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:37 PM ^
They'd be stupid to keep Fox past this year
November 12th, 2017 at 12:42 PM ^
I just don’t see it happening. Anyone really thinks Harbaugh is going to uproot his young family? Also, he wants to win at Michigan - he has 100 percent control of the program. He will never have this type of control in the NFL. I actually believe he will retire as the head coach of our Wolverines.
November 12th, 2017 at 12:57 PM ^
...first for spreading such a stupid ESPN prediction and second for saying “peep”.
November 12th, 2017 at 1:27 PM ^
Chicago is cheap. He is not now nor ever going their to work for the McCaskeys
At least there is no Espn link in the OP’s thread
November 12th, 2017 at 3:00 PM ^
There actually not cheap at all they just spend all there money on the wrong things
November 12th, 2017 at 1:27 PM ^
I can't see him staying at UM for a very long time, although I wish he would retire here.
There is too much bullshit you have to deal with at the college level.
November 12th, 2017 at 2:42 PM ^
And there isn’t too much bullshit in the NFL? Do you remember him butting heads with Jed York over and over and over during his tenure at SF?
There is arguably more BS to deal with in the NFL than there is in college. In the NFL, you’re dealing with the scouts, the execs, the GM, whatever is the punishment du jour from Goodell, and the players union. In Ann Arbor, Harbaugh rules this team, more or less, with absolute authority. What he says goes, and the boosters know they can’t get anyone better than him.
November 12th, 2017 at 4:02 PM ^
That is absolutely correct. The BS I was talking about are from the recruiting and player perspective. Not having a QB, oline, or kicker are routine college issues.
November 12th, 2017 at 8:09 PM ^
I mean, I think this is real. I think anyone picturing Jim "Silver Fox" Harbaugh sitting on the Michigan sidelines in 2033 is probably lying to themselves about how long he is going to stick here, I think as soon as we either win a national title or are contending every year he will go back to the NFL and seek out the Super Bowl ring again.
I've always maintained 7-10 years of Harbaugh would be a win.
November 12th, 2017 at 1:42 PM ^
ESPN will file bankruptcy and will be bought out by Lifetime; meaning more movies about skanky nannies and Vagisil commercials aplenty.
November 12th, 2017 at 1:50 PM ^
Stop giving this stupidity attention!
He's living right near his childhood home and parent's home. His kids are going to the schools he went to. He's building up a program he has been connected to his entire life.
He's not leaving unless we push him out ourselves, so let's not be stupid and take him for granted, and then we'll be good.
Oh, and also...
he has actually SAID that he isn't going to the NFL.
November 12th, 2017 at 8:15 PM ^
But, I thought Oakland was still in play?!?!
November 12th, 2017 at 9:04 PM ^
Going to be more and more of this given the prediction of the Astros winning this year.
November 13th, 2017 at 9:03 AM ^
Awesome!!!
