I want Miami to beat ND, but I think there's a recruit looking at us and Miami, couple more. So hoping for Miami to win ugly or something.

If we win out along with MSU and psu, then MSU advances, correct?
And the only way we advance is if both psu and MSU lose.

Nope. OSU would have the head to head over MSU.

Edit: I'm not really sure. If there was a 4 team tie this is what it says. I don't really understand what they mean by "the records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other.

The following procedure will determine the representative from each division in the event of a tie:

(a) If two teams are tied, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.

(b) If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 8 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step (or sub-step), the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative. If three or more teams remain tied after any step, move to next step in tiebreaker with remaining tied teams.

1. The records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other.

2. The records of the three tied teams will be compared within their division.

3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (4, 5, 6, and 7).
(a) When arriving at a group of tied teams while comparing records, use each team’s record against the collective tied teams as a group, rather than record against the individual teams.

4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents.

5. The best cumulative conference winning percentage of non-divisional opponents.
(a) Example: East 1 non-divisional opponents are 20-7, East 2 non-divisional opponents are 19-8, East 3 non-divisional opponents are 14-13 – East 1 would be the representative.

6. The records of the three teams will be compared against the highest placed non-divisional teams in their division order of finish (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7).

(a) When arriving at a group of tied teams while comparing records, use each team’s record against the collective tied teams as a group, rather than record against the individual teams.

(b) When comparing records against a single team or a group of teams, the record will prevail, even if the number of games played against the team or group are unequal (i.e. 1-0 is better than 0-0, 2-0 is better than 1-0, etc.)

7. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative.

8. The representative will be chosen by random draw.

"three" here should be interpreted as "three or more."

If MSU/PSU/OSU/UM win out, except UM beats OSU, then all four are 7-2 in the Big Ten.  MSU and OSU would be 2-1 against the tied teams, whereas PSU and UM would be 1-2.  OSU goes by virtue of head-to-head win over MSU.

If OSU loses an extra game, and it's a 3-way MSU/PSU/UM tie, MSU wins as they are 2-0 vs. the tied group.

If PSU loses an extra game, and it's a 3-way MSU/OSU/UM tie, all three are 1-1 vs. each other.  The next tiebreaker is division record; UM has two division losses, whereas OSU and MSU would only have one.  UM is eliminated and OSU goes due to head to head vs. MSU.

In a 3-way OSU/PSU/UM tie, all three are 1-1 vs. each other; UM and PSU have two division losses and are eliminated; OSU wins.

Michigan needs to win out and have PSU and MSU both lose one more game.

The schedule again? Boring. Rather play Georgia. Why would anyone play a team that plays in a conference that suits them. F ND .. zero class

Mississippi State is hanging in there, which is nice. But even if they somehow pull this off, it's not going to make a difference in the rankings. The pollsters would never drop Bama outside the top four.

Three different times this past decade, they have lost in November and still gone on to the title. If they lose tonight, they most likely only drop to #3.

Lots of football left in that ND game. I have a feeling it will be tied late in the fourth quarter. Really hope I am wrong and Miami curb stomps them.
