BTNetwork
I'm a cord cutter. I signed up with SlingTV and I do not have access to games that show on BTN. This season, a lot of Michigan games have aired on BTN, which I am unable to watch. This forces me to go to our local Buffalo Wild Wings (which I don't mind, mind you); but with two babies at home I feel bad leaving the nest to watch the game.
Anyone else frustrated by the increased amount of games on BTN?

I think I recall Matt Millen's horrendous color once this year. But I do live in Ann Arbor?
November 10th, 2017 at 7:31 PM ^
AF, Rutgers and MD, I believe.
November 10th, 2017 at 7:40 PM ^
you live in Ann Arbor?
I can do that for you, just send me your bank account numbers, SS#, and driver's license info.
Once I investigate, I'll try to get back with you.

Like the passwords for online access to each of his bank accounts and credit card accounts?
November 10th, 2017 at 8:39 PM ^
have them.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:08 PM ^
White people.
/amirite?

Then stream the game on BTNGO

All the live sports I want is keeping me from cutting the cord.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:19 PM ^
But I get all the locals, all the ESPNs, BTN, Fox Sports Detroit, etc.
November 10th, 2017 at 8:47 PM ^
Who do you use?
November 11th, 2017 at 2:18 AM ^
youtubetv has worked the best for me. I have previously tried PSvue, and Directtv now, they both had buffer and lag issues and I have 150mbs internet. Youtubetv has run flawlessly.

What options don’t have the sports networks?
November 10th, 2017 at 8:49 PM ^
I’ve looked into a few of the cord cutting options and it seems like each one is always missing one of the big ones I’d need for M games. Like one option will be missing BTN while another is missing FS1, etc
November 10th, 2017 at 6:11 PM ^
You get cbs
November 10th, 2017 at 6:13 PM ^
Big 10 network ABC nbc cbs Fox sec network fs1.

The Vue is what I've had eye on but can't really pull the trigger because DVR. I would like to use my desktop as a DVR but don't k ow or if that could ever work yet.
November 10th, 2017 at 8:13 PM ^
According to my quick Googling, PSVue does have DVR. is that not true?
November 10th, 2017 at 9:02 PM ^
If it does I don't know how to use it. Probably because I only watch football on it, which it's awesome for because of the ability to PiP 3 games. However it does let you rewind when you are watching live so maybe they have a DVR option.
The only down fall I have come across is that it does not have ABC yet. But I have a antenna to pick up local channels.
November 10th, 2017 at 9:13 PM ^
Vue has DVR. It's what we use. I picked up 3 of the 4K HDR Rokus when they were on sale and I've got one in each room with a TV. The Vue app was just updated on Roku too. You can't tell it's not cable. DVR is great too. Only drawback is if you aren't watching the program being DVRed, you have to wait until it's done to rewind/start from the beginning.
November 10th, 2017 at 11:47 PM ^
I used Vue for a year. Had DVR. I loved it. My only complaint was a really minor one but if you're on here during the game, there is a slight delay (enough to be a play behind sometimes or as few as 5 or 6 seconds) that can be annoying. I would see everyone freaking out on here and know what was going to happen on the next play.
Otherwise, great though.
November 10th, 2017 at 8:44 PM ^
On demand eliminates the need for a DVR. You just have to look in different places. You'd be surprised what YouTube can do for you. I've re watched M games there.
November 10th, 2017 at 9:06 PM ^
Yeah, the game in 40 minutes or 1st and second half full coverage get uploaded very fast.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:12 PM ^
Ah, the weekly cord cutting post.
Like it is that hard to google stream services and find one that has BTN - like Vue.
If Sling doesn't do it for ya, switch - isn't that the power of cord cutting?
November 10th, 2017 at 6:16 PM ^
I was going to ask why a religious Wolverine watcher would go without BTN.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:20 PM ^
Literally 10 minutes on Google answered all my questions and I pulled the trigger. It is more work to post the question in here and sift through all the responses, in my opinion.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:13 PM ^
I realized that, in my family of 4, I was the only one in the house that watched live TV, and most of that was sports. So I cut the cord too. I did research to make sure I got BTN. I went with YouTube TV a month ago and haven’t missed out on any pro or college sports. Cloud DVR is great too. Went from $240 a month to $85 a month.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:22 PM ^
the YouTube tv. I have PS Vue and am thinking about switching to YouTube tv.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:34 PM ^
Live it. Have had it for about 4 months now. Not one service issue yet
November 10th, 2017 at 6:37 PM ^
Only thing its missing is CNN.
November 10th, 2017 at 7:02 PM ^
I've been missing it Bob. #fakenews
November 10th, 2017 at 8:00 PM ^
You will start an Anderson Cooper appreciation thread tomorrow.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:33 PM ^
How is it $85?
November 10th, 2017 at 6:39 PM ^
...is around $85. $40 for 100 mbps internet, $35 for YouTube TV, then around $10 for the Showtime add-on.
November 10th, 2017 at 11:51 PM ^
Screw paying for Showtime. I use Kodi for all of that stuff and have never missed a show from Showtime, HBO, etc.
November 10th, 2017 at 8:50 PM ^
YouTube TV did look like the beat option but it’s “not available in my area” yet for some reason
November 10th, 2017 at 6:14 PM ^
I hate ESPN, but I have no choice but to watch during NCAA football season.
For me going to local sports bar is far more expensive with food and drinks than it is to pay for BTN, ESPN, NFL package, etc.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:14 PM ^
Is how much you spend on BWW < what you could have spent on PSVue rather than Sling?
Or. get a free trial of PSVue for a week. This should be the last BTN game.
no you don't need a PS.
I didn't bother with either service this year.

November 10th, 2017 at 6:20 PM ^
Hasn't been bad at all.
November 10th, 2017 at 8:47 PM ^
If this got can't figure out the options by googling himself I doubt he knows what that is or have the knowledge to run the correct add-ons/extensions to make it work efficiently.
November 10th, 2017 at 11:38 PM ^
Just google cfbstreams
It'll be the first result
Grandmastreams FTW (or others like it)
November 10th, 2017 at 6:19 PM ^
I'm a cord cutter too but I have DirectTVNow. I've been able to watch every game this season including the ones on the Fox Business channel. Just something to think about.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:19 PM ^
cord cutting works.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:24 PM ^
Huh? I have no cable service and utilize a streaming service for television purposes that saves me $100/month. I just chose one that fits my sports viewing needs. How is that not how cord cutting works?
November 10th, 2017 at 6:30 PM ^
my apologies, I read it too fast, as Direct TV.
November 10th, 2017 at 6:21 PM ^
And love it. I use it on an Apple TV but it works on amazon fire and PlayStation consoles as wel. (Maybe roku?)
November 10th, 2017 at 6:30 PM ^

November 10th, 2017 at 6:32 PM ^
