A black hole that swallows team that are ranked in the top 10.

Playing in Kinnick as a top 10 team is like invading Russia in the Winter. Don't do it.

cool place to see a game. way better than psu or staee, which are the only other away games i’ve been to
November 4th, 2017 at 7:28 PM ^
Yeah, fun atmosphere. I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I didn't go to another really good Michigan team losing it there. '03, the Michigan experiments with the spread punt and gets it blocked repeatedly game where we outgained them like 530-300 or something.

A fantasmal destination where dreams go to die...
November 4th, 2017 at 7:24 PM ^
The earth was green, the sky was blue:
I saw and heard one sunny morn
A skylark hang between the two,
A singing speck above the corn;
A stage below, in gay accord,
White butterflies danced on the wing,
And still the singing skylark soared
And silent sank, and soared to sing.
The cornfield stretched a tender green
To right and left beside my walks;
I knew he had a nest unseen
Somewhere among the million stalks:
And as I paused to hear his song
While swift the sunny moments slid,
Perhaps his mate sat listening long,
And listened longer than I did.

The Kinnick Curse. Comes alive when it’s dark and a ranked team is nearby.

I was at the game last year. It is nothing special in terms of tough place to play. Iowa underachieved all year and then throws the kitchen sink at that one opponent
November 4th, 2017 at 7:42 PM ^
I've never been but I've always heard it's one of the toughest places to play. Apparently the stands are right on top of the players and it's very loud
November 4th, 2017 at 8:17 PM ^
I've been to 5 other stadiums in the Big Ten and Michigan is kind of an outlier. The stands are very far away from the field. Kinnick is definitely the closest. The front row is only 4 feet up and 20 feet from the actual field of play. Ohio stadium and Beaver stadium are also much closer than at Michigan.

I was there in 2011. It was pass interference. Fans were complete asses.

Kinnick is the college football equivalent of getting in a land war in Asia.

Invading Russia in winter
November 4th, 2017 at 8:10 PM ^
Kinnick seats considerably fewer people but the fans are loud and the seats extend practically to the field. It really sucks that Michigan lowered the field in the 80s so that it's 8 ft down and 30 ft away from the stands.

That's all I can say that OSU lost that bad. looks like Wisconsin is the only team from Big Ten that will be able to represent us in the CFP.

Mindless and yet devious
November 4th, 2017 at 8:17 PM ^
I have heard of places in Africa where carbon dioxide bubbles up through hot springs and settles in low lying villages where top 10 teams live. These teams cough and gasp as the asphyxiation slowly dims the light in their eyes over several agonizing seconds; and then it extinguishes. And every player collectively sharts all at once.

I was at the RR night game. The town,
Stadium, and fans were awesome. We had a great time the whole day and night. Worth the trip.
November 4th, 2017 at 8:44 PM ^
Nothing really stood out to me. Friendly fans, though.
November 4th, 2017 at 9:22 PM ^
I think the OP has it right - Kinnick is about as close to the Upside-Down as the Big Ten gets, and that's why no one wants to play there in November in particular unless you happen to in fact have Eleven on your team.
November 4th, 2017 at 9:34 PM ^
I wouldn’t call a single pass for the remainder of the game

Never get involved in a land war in Iowa.
And never post before you read the thread.
